Scotts® Grub B Gon MAX® Grub Killer
Do you have grubs in your lawn? You might. Especially if you have the telltale signs of grub damage. Signs include dead patches of grass that easily roll back, and holes dug by critters – namely skunks and/or raccoons.
Put a stop to lawn grubs and their damage with Scotts® Grub B Gon MAX® Grub Killer.
What Are Grubs, Anyway?
A grub is the larvae of a beetle species, such as Japanese beetle, masked chafer grub, and European chafer. You will definitely recognize them if you see them – grubs are the white, c- shaped, soft-bodied larvae found underneath those dead patches in your lawn. They feed on the roots of lawns, which can cause significant turf damage. Left untreated, grubs can weaken and destroy your lawn.
How to Get Rid of Grubs?
To stop the destruction and save your lawn, kill invading grubs with Scotts® Grub B Gon MAX® Grub Killer – a successful, proven solution to effectively kill grubs!
Apply Scotts® Grub B Gon MAX® Grub Killer with your favourite Scotts® spreader, then water in to release the active ingredient, Bacillus rturingiensis (Bt) into the soil. Bt is a microbe that is naturally found in soil-borne bacteria and is effective against a wide variety of grubs* including Asiatic garden beetle, Japanese beetle, May or June beetles, and Northern masked chafer.
When to Apply Grub Killer
Unlike some insect pests, grubs have a year-round lifecycle. They spend the winter below the surface of your lawn, then come out in the spring to feed. In summer, they lay their eggs which will hatch, giving you a whole new generation of grubs ready and willing to eat their way through your lawn. And in fall, they will feast on your lawn to prepare for over wintering.
The powerful Bt Active found in Scotts® Grub B Gon MAX® Grub Killer allows for multiple applications during the season.
In Spring: Apply in April or May after the ground has thawed to control grubs that over-wintered in your lawn as they begin migrating to the surface to feed.
In Summer: Apply in late June through early August to control newly hatched grub larvae.
In Fall: Apply in late August to September to help control new grubs that hatched from beetle eggs throughout the summer, and help protect your lawn from over-wintering grubs (which lessens the impact of grubs the following Spring).
