Faucet Installation

• Your Basic Faucet Installation will include: un-packaging; disconnecting the existing faucet; installation of the new faucet in the same location as the old one; testing to ensure the new faucet is in proper working order, and final clean-up of the job site.
• 1-year labour warranty.

• Our Installers will not clear any clogged drains, make any modifications to existing structures, or upgrade your plumbing to accommodate your new faucet.
• Installation does not include a shut off valve for your new faucet.
• Haul away and disposal of your old faucet are not included unless purchased separately.
• Mileage expenses may apply if your installation requires over 50 km travel from the store.

• Yes, providing the plumbing is already in place. Moving existing plumbing inside the wall will require additional parts and labour.

• In most cases, your faucet installation can be completed in 1-2 hours.

• If you have a shut off valve, the water can remain on in the rest of the house. If a shut off valve needs to be installed, the main water supply will need to be shut down.
• Your installer can provide a shut off valve for you at an additional cost.  

• Yes, providing that the plumbing is already in place. Moving existing plumbing will require additional parts and labour. 

• No. With Basic Faucet Installation, Home Depot installers will only hook up your new faucet in a location that has already been fitted for one. Installing a faucet in a new location requires preparatory work, likely including the services of a plumber. This additional work is not included in Basic Faucet Installation.
• If additional work is required for your new faucet installation, please visit your nearest Home Depot to speak with an associate. 

• All required parts are included in the cost of your Basic Faucet Installation service.

• You can use your new faucet once the silicone has dried completely, this usually takes about 24 hours. Your Home Depot installer will advise you at the time of installation.
• Avoid exposing the silicone to moisture while it is still drying.

• Yes. If you would like your old faucet to be hauled away, the service can be purchased prior to checkout.  

• No. Our installers will disconnect your old faucet before installing the new one.  

• No. Delivery and installation services are arranged and scheduled separately from each other. If haul away is purchased without installation, your old faucet will be taken away or moved when the new one is delivered.
• The installer will contact you via text message within 24 hours of completing your order to schedule your faucet installation. Please take your delivery time into account when scheduling your installation appointment. 

• If the faucet arrives with visible damage, ask the delivery agent about the Save the Delivery process. Once explained, if this is not something that is acceptable to you, we recommend that you refuse the delivery and indicate ‘refused due to damage’ on the bill of lading (BOL). Otherwise, you have up to 48 hours from time of delivery to notify The Home Depot at 1-800-759-2054 of any concealed damage. If you notice a defect (not damage) in the faucet after the 48 hours, this becomes a warranty issue. Please call the manufacturer’s warranty line. This is not the responsibility of the installer. The appliance comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, you may choose to purchase an Extended Service Plan at any time within the first year.
