Please ensure that you have all the necessary requirements to make your application as streamlined as possible. Approval can take as little as 24 hours once all documents have been received and verified.
1 Local Pro Mobile App
- Download the app where you can sign up to become a Pro Xtra member if you aren’t one already.
2 Required Documents
- Business licence or GST number (RBQ in Quebec)
- Insurance coverage ($1 million minimum)
- WSIB/WCB/NEST coverage (if applicable)
- Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) required for Quebec only
3 Background Check
- All background screening is performed through Entuitive Compliance
- $65 annual fee, renewed each year, payable directly to Entuitive. (Valid Canadian credit card required)

- There is no cost to become a Local Pro or to remain with the program. However, you will need to complete an annual background check, which costs $65 to complete. Your compliance records then remain on file. If you’re non-compliant, you will not receive leads.

- In most parts of Canada, you do not need a trade licence to become a Deck & Fence Local Pro.
- Québec Pros will require the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).
- BC Pros will need to show their Certification of Qualification.

- Pros who have signed up for multiple services will not need to complete more than one background check. It does, however, need to be renewed annually. If the other occupation you choose requires a trade licence or other insurance requirements, those would need to be updated with Entuitive before you are eligible to get leads for that occupation.

- As a Pro Xtra member, you earn points every time you shop at The Home Depot, in store or online. These points allow you to continue to generate leads for new jobs.
- At any time, you can choose to stop receiving leads (or resume if you have stopped) if you wish to save your points for another time.

- You can add as many Deck and Fence Services as you like, as long as you have met the requirements.

- As long as you’ve completed your background check and meet the professional requirements, you can sign up as a Local Pro for up to two occupations. But within an occupation, there’s no limit to how many services you can sign up for

1 Customers Submit Leads
- Home Depot customers looking for deck and fence services (such as fence repair, deck installation or fence painting) submit a request and provide their contact information to receive a quote online.
2 We Match 3 Pros to the Customer
- The customer is matched with up to 3 Deck & Fence Pros in their area who are available for the job requested.
- The Pros will receive the lead in-app and can contact the customer to provide a quote.
3 Customer Accepts the Best Quote
- After the Pros have contacted the customer, the customer compares quotes and chooses their preferred option.
4 After the Job is Complete
- Your earnings are yours to keep!
