Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great as a back up for my CPAP I got this as back up for my cpap machine when the power goes out and it works great. On the 4ah battery my machine will run for around 6hrs, i turned off the heated cord and the moisture feature to save battery life and run about 12 pressure setting so i am not sure how long it will last for your setting but i also have a couple of 2ah batteries if i needed longer run times. I'm guessing if you are looking at this the usb charging and light feature are not as big a deal as most things today have USB charging for cells phones, my rating is strictly as how it performs as a AC power source for Cpap use and since i was already on the 40v platform this was a very cost efficient option for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as expected Bought it originally as a backup for a power outage (charge laptops, phones, run routers, etc.). However it's very useful in the backyard powering my speakers for my music, charging my laptop or phone while working from the patio table, kids use it for camping, great to have down at the dock, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent power inverter Pros: Overall this is a great product, easy to use, handy built in light and will definitely do in a pinch. Cons: it will drain the battery if left in over time. If you are not going to use it for several days or longer, you need to remove the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient portable power supply Works great and is a really handy device to have around when the power goes out. Used it to make coffee and charge phones during recent power outage and really appreciated not having to fire up a generator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for working from home wifi backup power Works as expected and provides me backup power for my wifi and laptop to ensure I can continue working from home during normal power outages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backup power Had it for 6 months and then upacked it during a power outage. It was great to charge 5 cell phones and power our internet router for 4.5 hours without power. That only used 1/2 of my 7.5ah battery. Only minor issues are that the packaging is hard to open in the dark and the light is blocked by the battery. (recommend using the USB direct to charge your phone, don't use the 120v outlet into a charging block to usb to phone.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy Device for Camping or Power Outage A handy device for use camping or in a power outage or around my property. The 2 amp USB A and C outlets can charge a phone, tablet, or laptop. The 120 volt outlet can power devices up to 300 watts like a TV, matress inflator power tools etc. I already had three 40 volt batteries for other Ryobi devices, so can use these for many hours on the inverter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ryobi 300W 40V Inverter 1. There should be an off switch to prevent discharge by the ‘LED’ lamp during storage. Otherwise, a good secondary use for an existing 40V battery. 2. What about a supply chain of the 18V 150W version for Canada, Eh. This should have been first. I have several 18V batteries sitting in the intelli-charger!

can it cgarge an attached battery? In other words the 40v battery used must be charged elsewhere with a charger ?.

Asked by: patns
Interesting question... in that what a great idea if this was part of the specs for the product! However, the answer is no.... it only acts as an inverter to provide 120 VAC power to the NEMA 5-15 receptacles (and to USB). It also will not power ALL devices.... for example it won't run a hair dryer (lets say you are trying to de-ice a lock. Nice product, but read the instructions if you get it (for turning power off).

Would this temporarily power a sump pump?

Asked by: William2207
Hi William2207, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the 300-Watt 40V Battery Powered Inverter Generator. I would not recommend using this Inverter to power a sump pump, as some pumps can consume up to 1000 watts of power. However, we do have a RYOBI 40V 1800-Watt Battery Inverter (RYI1802BT). Keep in mind that it is common for electric motors in normal operation to draw up to six times their running current while starting. For further information, please contact RYOBI Customer Support at 1-800-525-2579. Thanks, RYOBI Canada Team.

Will this power my cpap that requires 24v dc. For more than 4 hrs?

Asked by: Timtam
I do not know - it would depend on the size of the battery ie 5 amp hour compared to a lower one. I know with a 4 amp hour battery it will run my 15 inch DVD player for at least 4/5 hours-longer with a 5 amp hour battery. - it will also run my Laptop if I use a power bar.

Can this power a natural gas high efficiency tankless water heater?

Asked by: Alpine
If the peak demand of your unit is more than 300 watts, then no. Seems like a high demand thing so even if it works, it wouldn’t last very long on a 4 or 5 Ah battery. Hope this helps
