Rated 2 out of 5 by from Confused Portability: 5 Motor: 4 Base: 4 Material : 3 Calibration: 4 Fence: 4 Blade : 0 Rails : 0 This product has a lot of potential. I can easily carry this with one hand. The motor has plenty of torque and brushless should be working for the life of the mitre saw itself. But the motor bearing could use better tolerance since a slight wobble and clicking could be heard. The base seems to be made out of good quality metal (Aluminium alloy I believe), lightweight and sturdy. The injection-moulded plastics seem to be quite high quality. It seems to be very close to being accurate on the calibration and the shadow light is on point. Use the stock blade for some kind of showpiece and get yourself a Diablo or something similar. This was all good but that linear rail and bearing is a deal-breaker. The rails have enough play in them and get stuck. Ryobi's economical, brushed, plugged mitre saws have better rails than this. This is an absolute no-no for a sliding mitre saw. I could be unlucky and receive an Openbox or a defective product. It was missing the battery and charger out of the box. I really hope Ryobi fixes these issues (or at least the rails) in their revision. I like their One + HP series and they are THE best products for the price.

Will it cut a 4x4 post at 45 degrees, in one go? Or do you have to do 2 cuts?

How does this compare in power to the previous version that used two batteries simultaneously? Why the switch to single battery?

Hi There, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the 18V ONE+ HP Brushless Cordless 10-inch Mitre Saw. The older 18V ONE+ Brushless Cordless 10-inch Mitre Saw (P3650) had a Maximum Speed of 4,000 RPM, and the new model has a Maximum Speed of 4,100 RPM.
