Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent quality Great price compared to other brands, i would say it lacks a bit of quality as some of the moulded plastic and glue was not perfect but still recommend this for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alino drain is AOK I was hesitant to use this at first because I am unfamiliar with using products like this. I always stayed away from using Kerdi / schluter versions of shower products... Due to the price and is that I have seen them fail when I rip out bathrooms and other flooring situations (the decoupling membeane decoupled right off of the motar, once it gets wet) But more about Alino.... I will say the only thing that was unusual about installing this drain, Along with the Alino sloped shower pan was that Although it is rated to be used for 2", 3", 4" shower deain pipes, It will not directly connect to the typical 1.5 shower drain pipe, Which is really no big deal because for a few bucks, Every home depot has the adapter from 2 inch to 1.5 inches in the plumbing aisle.... common part. And also since I installed this drain in a basement shower., So the plumbing result done from above, Your drain pipe need not be sticking out of the floor at all, In fact it needs to be below the floor by a couple inches, as this drain is very tall.... a few inches tall And to the alino presloped shower Pan is not exactly thick (at 1 and a 1/2 inches thick) One final note about it is that if you use a very thin tile like I did, I used sheets of one inch penny tiles as my shower tile, You should consider putting down a thin bed of mortar first and letting it dry to build the base up a bit because the drain can only be screwed. Down to the point of about 3/8 of an inch off the shower pan. This train allows you to use tiles that would be anywhere from a quarter inch thick up to even more than an inch thick..... There is a lot of play in the drain, As you wind it in... In general I think it is very close to a schluder drain but much less money. I will say that the structural integrity of this drain and how it connects to the shower pan and how it connects to your plumbing, And how it connects to the mortgage job with the supplied ring of barrier material, That comes with the shower Pan/ drain is one hundred percent solid and will not possibly be the cause of a leak.

This drain comes with a circular membrane with a hole in the middle - a piece that is not referenced in the instructions or the video. When is this membrane supposed to be applied in relation to the other parts?
