Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible ! We have used Behr paint for all our painting projects. Never have we been disappointed until we used this Paint and Primer in One. Four coats have been applied on top of a primer. You can see every roller and brush mark. It runs everywhere because it is just like water! We went back to Home Depot to complain but the person in the department never even looked at the paint. They just told us to keep applying as it could take up to 7 coats to cover! Who has time to apply 7 coats of paint! I believe this is our last Behr purchase. We had to buy a different brand of paint and are now happy with the results after 2 coats! Buyer beware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Application, Good Final Product In the last year, I have painted 3 of my houses top to bottom. Typically I use Para paint products. This time I decided to try Behr. This is the first time I have ever had to use multiple applications on the same wall when I am applying a darker shade. If most of the wall went on dark, and I had to touch up a few spots I wouldn't mind. There isn't a single spot on the entire wall that has a nice coat on it. It is going to take me 2/3 of a gallon to cover a 10x9 wall. I painted an 8x6x8 bathroom with 1L of Para paint going from light brown to a light grey wall, no primer. Save your money, and your time. Buy a quality paint and only apply one coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed With This Product Recently tried this product for the first time. As a DIY project wanted to re-do our walk-in closets. Removed the old wire system and filled the cracks and used our original home paint...was a horrible mess. So decided to try this product and spoke to an Associate who recommended a quart of this for my project. Used this over the mess that was already there and it goes on very easy, and there were no issues. Cleaning up afterwards was a breeze...the finished product looked great, brought new life to the room even though it was a closet. Looking forward to painting the master bedroom with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr is the best Being a painter I used Ben. Moore for many years but when I started using Behr I would not recommend or use any other brand.Since using Behr I would not suggest anything else.A little hard to apply but the second coat will go on like butter on toast.Durable true color and long lasting. Finally a quality paint

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEHR Paints After trying my first can of BEHR paints about ten years ago, I never went back to any other brand. The coverage is excellent and I have rarely needed to apply a second coat. When I used the primer on my previously painted ceilings before using the BEHR ceiling paint, I was surprised when it did not need a second coat. The same for both new walls and prepainted walls. The fact that it is much thicker and easier to work with was a real bonus. Less spatter, and the colours ....well the sky is the limit !!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad paint I have been using behr paint for over 20 yrs but this paint for some reason does not work! I hired professional painters to do the job and the paint is too watery.... it does not stick color, there is not enought paint, not enough white. I have waisted thousands in ppl paining 3 times and this paint does not work. Not sure what happened!!!! But i will never buy behr again. It was a waste of money and time. You will be lossing a lot of good customers. I read the reviews about this bit did not believe it until i tried!! What an expensive lesson.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not pleased with this paint. Using Deep Base Satin, with Dynamic 10mm microfibre rollers and Performance Select brushes (also bought from the HD paint department) and it is taking 3 coats to cover everything. We are trying to cover an off white color. This paint also takes a very long time to dry. After a full 24 hours, areas still feel tacky and we are unable to replace furniture. The paint has had skin like chunks from the start that we've had to constantly pull from the walls and roller pan. FOR THE MONEY THERE ARE FAR BETTER PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET!

Please highlight the difference between Behr Premium Plus and Behr Marquee?

Asked by: Jami
Hi Jami, Thanks for writing in with your question. Premium Plus and Marquee are both self-priming products. However, our Marquee Paint has stain-blocking priming benefits, and it is guaranteed to cover in one coat when tinted to a one-coat color and applied over a previously coated surface. It is our most advanced interior paint. Please reach out to us directly if you have additional questions for concerns. Have a great day! Regards, Giovanna

paint for tub surround?

I think there is a paint you can use on tub surrounds but I can't find it. Would you know if there is?
Asked by: Anonymous
Painting an area that has the potential to be constantly exposed to water is an area that Behr paints are not recommended for use. Constant exposure to water will cause latex paints to break down. Typically, surrounds are made of fiberglass, which is a non-porous surface, and as such they are not recommended for use in conjunction with Behr paints. I would suggest inquiring at a paint store for a specialty paint that is recommended for use in this manner.

Redoing a bedroom and the walls are currently purple with a black trim. Would we need a primer and then paint or could we use a paint plus primer?

Asked by: Mary
Hello Mary, Thanks for writing in. For drastic color changes, I recommend applying a primer to help reduce the number of paint coats needed. Please keep in mind that drastic color changes may require additional coats for proper coverage. It’s also essential to follow the recommended spread rate to ensure a successful project. I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Best, Roxana N.

Hi Tess, Thank you for your question! Our Premium Plus Interior Eggshell Enamel is a zero VOC and low odor paint. Everyone's health is different though, so it's best to have your family physician look over the Safety Data Sheet for this product before starting your project. Best - Sara
