It does the trick. The only 'concern' is that I had to be careful after having stapled it to the studs. It can tear easily. Nevertheless, that becomes an non-issue once the paneling goes up. Worth the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is Translucent, Not Transparent Six years ago Netyang gave a review stating, "It's white, not clear" and three years ago Helen asked about Netyang's post and Bennett Tools said the film is considered transparent. FYI, I just bought this product. In regards to light transmission this product is more like wax paper than cling wrap. Hold it flat against something and you can make out the image fine. However, once an inch away from a surface the light is so diffused that one cannot read writing or make out an image. Definite white sheen. The bag the product comes in meets my definition of transparent, the film does not. I consider the film translucent. That said, the product is fine for my application (contain dust). I am using a transparent bag a mattress came in to make a suitable transparent door area.

The product description says this is a clear sheet, but one person's review says it is white. I am looking for transparent/clear only - can you confirm?

Hi Helen, it is not white. When you unroll the drop sheet and open it up, you are able to see through it. It is considered Transparent.

The plastic this product is made from is HDPE (High Density Polyethylene Plastic). Hope this helps!

No, there aren't any markings on this sheeting. You could probably use it for a pool table cover as it is 3.5mil think. I hope this helps.
