Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice for old walls I followed the manufacturer's instructions and butted the strips, since this was my first time doing wallpaper. Looks great on the old walls. If you have lathe and plaster walls, this works great to hide imperfections. We plan to paint it afterward. If I were to make one suggestion, try to go easy on the water. It doesn't seem to need much of a soak. One quick pass through the tray and a few minutes "booking" the strip and it will adhere nicely. Don't sweep too hard, but make sure there are no bubbles either! In my case I plan to take a blade to any bubbles and add wall adhesive to them before painting. I didn't (but maybe should have) prep the walls with a coat of primer. That may help with adhesion.
