Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smoke Detector Warranty??? Though I bought in April 2021, these Smoke Detectors are due to expire in 2030. I will not get a full 10 years out of them. Only 9!!! Is the supplier flogging year old merchandise to unsuspecting online buyers?? The product did work and arrive in a timely fashion though.

I have 4 BRK SC9120A smoke detectors installed. Two are now past their expiry dates and need to be replaced. Is this BRK model 392316 (SC9120B) compatible with these others in my house? Thank you very much for your advice!

Hello and thank you for your question in regards to SKU# 1001390019: BRK 120-V Hardwire, Ionization Sensor Smoke Alarm Detector Perfect Mount With Battery Backup. This smoke detector is compatible with your current SC9120A devices. The only difference is that this unit has a battery backup. It is, however, recommended that you upgrade the other SC9120A detectors in your house with this SC9120B model at the same time.
