Steam trapped in the pot builds up pressure to create hotter temperatures and keep vitamins and minerals contained so foods stay moist and flavours stay true. The Cuisinart Pressure Cooker is absolutely safe, with a lid that has to be locked in place before pressure builds, and stays locked until pressure is released. Includes dishwasher safe cooking pot and trivet.
