I thought maybe I was unlucky with the first so I bought the same model. No matter how I set it, my plant lights stay on 24/7. Now I find I have to unplug the lights every night and plug them back in in the morning. The Defiant timer is a piece of garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Just use this last winter for my Christmas Lights then come fall when i need this to light up my Gazebo, Timer is not working anymore. Do this need to be plug every time even when not in use? Think this unit was already gone and need to be returned.

Can you turn on the connected equipment manually with this timer? Hopefully you can but didn’t see any info that says so.

If the battery backup doesn't do any good, then what is it good for? Does it only keep the time? I would have expected that the battery backup would keep the timer settings.

Can I program this to come on for 15 minutes, go off for 1 minute, and go back on for 15 minutes and off again for 1 minutes... continue for 24 hours on the same cycle? To use with a water pump.
