Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jobsite Table Saw on the Market Tons of features and over 30” in rip capacity is unheard of in this portable of a saw. Rack and pinion fence is super accurate and easy to calibrate. Love the stock support on the fence when the rip capacity extends past the table saw. Taking out the riving knife and the blade gaurd are super convenient and hassle free. But the best feature for me is the blade gaurd dust collection keeps my garage alot cleaner and alot less wood dust in the air. The foot print of this saw is impressive especially if you have a small working space. Big things do come in small packages with this saw worth the extra money compared to the competitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another solid DeWalt product I survived with a 40 year old Beaver/Delta table saw for a long time. This DeWalt table saw is a game-changer for me. So far, it seems precise and was well calibrated out of the box. The fence works very well and the fine adjustment is accurate. I was easily able to connect to my dust collection system (without the need to purchase the Y attachment, though that might make it simpler). The stand is heavy-duty and well worth having. I agree with other reviews that the mitre could be more robust but it seems to do its job well enough. I am very happy with this table saw and it seems good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt table saw Dewalt thought about everything with this model. Strong sturdy base with wide leg stance and easily retracted legs for storage. Wheels make for easy transport. Love how the fence stores underneath the table. Everything you need for this saw is stored directly on the saw. No need to “make sure” you have the blade wrenches when you go to a new job. Everything is in the saw all the time. Effortless blade change. Guards easily on and off when necessary. We use these saws every day on our mobile Job sites and they stand up for years!

The screw inserts that the riving knife set screws sit in were cross-threaded, resulting in them being stripped of threads during first attempted riving knife adjustment. Home Depot's return policy is EXCELLENT though, so I was able to return with no issues (and subsequently buy a Delta table saw with a different manufacturing issue lol). This is why I am still rating the purchase as 3 stars. Between this faulty Dewalt table saw, and the faulty Delta one I bought, it is time for me to stop buying big ticket items like this from box stores. Time to pony up for properly manufactured stuff targeted towards professionals, instead of the common consumer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good saw worth the extra money I dropped by accident my older saw from a different manufacturer and decoded to buy a better quality one. This saw is much better by a long shop. The table top is smooth as silk. Pieces slide across it with more ease, allowing us to make super smooth cuts. We were cutting pieces from 3/4" plywood for one of our kid's closet. Just like had done prior. Took us less than half the time with better results. Glad I listened to the salesman and spend a bit more $$ which was worth double. The minus side is the instructions to assemble it, pure garbage. We had to follow the illustration on the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt Table Saw with stand - DWE7491RS Very good saw right out of the box. Installation was very easy to follow from the instructions and diagrams. I had to make a slight adjustments on the 0 degree setting of the blade. Instructions for setup was very simple. The 45 degree setting was right on the mark. And the fence was also calibrated spot on, glides easily and smoothly. The motor is amazing and allowing the blade to cut without any effort. The dust port fits the 12 gallon Rigid Shop vac hose without any additional adaptors. Overall, a great table saw. Powerful, runs smoothly and very easy to follow instructions.

If using the miter gauge it is next to impossible to make a straight cut with a 020 inch gap between the gauge and its track that it runs in. It is next to impossible to have any confidence to cut a straight line or use the miter gauge to cut any angle.

are you able to remove the legs from the saw?

Hey Mike.. I just went out to my garage to verify this for you. You can remove the saw from the stand. There are 4 bolts that hold it on to the stand. There are even rubber feet on the main saw, so after you remove it you can place it on a bench or pickup truck or whatever and it has little rubber feet. The stand is an add on to the saw. Personally I love this saw. I don't think you would be sorry if you bought one. The stand is solid when used... Cheers

Does the arbor nut come loose for anyone else while the saw is in use/stopping the saw? This has happened 3 times while using this saw.

This is a reply to the Dewalt Product Expert that opened a ticket on my behalf. Thank you but Dewalt support has been absolutely useless in helping address this issue. They've referred me to a factory service centre that was unable to find any issue (of course) and refuse to help any further. Is this how you treat your customers Dewalt?This is certainly not the way to retain your customer base! Please beware of purchasing this saw and don't count on Dewalt to honour their warranty.

i can use a Dado blade with this one. it doesn't mention in the description

This table saw is designed for professional ripping, crosscutting, mitering, beveling and non thrucutting applications, such as dadoing, with various materials. Do not attempt to stack dado blades thicker than 13/16" (20 mm). Do not use dado blades larger than 8" (200 mm) diameter. The DWE7402DI Dado Throat Plate is sold separately. What are the dimensions of this saw when folded up for storage?

Hello Tash, When the DWE7491 table saw is folded completely, it measures 46 inches long, 28 inches wide, and 29 high with the guard in place. If the guard is removed, blade lowered, and rip fence stowed, the unit measures 22 high.

can I buy the saw without the stand?

From what I can see, you can't buy that exact saw on it's own. All the pictures that I have seen the fence seems a bit different on the Portable worksite models. There is a saw available with a scissor stand and that seems to be the same saw (DWE7491X) and it is pictured without the stand. Even the Rolling stand version can be used without it's rolling stand, just unbolt it from the stand (DWE7491RS). Hope this helps...
