The DCK299M2 Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit is ideal for most drilling, hammering, and fastening applications. This brushless drill/driver set includes a DCF887 cordless impact driver and a DCD996 cordless hammer drill. The 1/4 in. impact driver provides 1,825 in./lbs. of maximum torque at fast 0 RPM to 3,250 RPM speeds. It can make 0 to 3,600 impacts per minute. The 1/2 in. hammer drill has three speeds, and all-metal transmission, and a 3-mode LED light. Both these cordless power tools are compact, lightweight, and fit easily into tight areas. This cordless power tool combo kit also includes two 4.0 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs and a charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent purchase, would recommend to anyone. Excellent trigger control, excellent charge time. The speed control on the impact is especially helpful in that setting 1 doesn't overdrive screws if you're doing more delicate work. Setting 3 is a monster. Balance on the units is pretty good, though my old 14.4v was better. I suspect that might just be a "getting used to it" thing. I like the soft case, it's much more practical than the old hard cases. Could be slightly bigger - once you get a third battery and have a couple of bit cases in it, it's quite crowded. Still doable, you just have to organize if you want to zip it shut.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't understand all the glowing reviews. Forward and reverse switch on dcb887 reverts to neutral whenever I release the trigger while using it overhead. It is incredibly annoying and a massive time waster. The quick change chuck has also started to jam and wont accept or release bits as easily as it should. (No it's not dirty or clogged) Just another example of the steadily declining quality of Dewalt tools. Every co-worker who owns this tool has had some problem or another while it is still almost new. Many have started purchasing other brands entirely. Used to be you could depend on every product Dewalt put out. Now it feels more like I have to compare to other brands because there is a good chance they are of better quality. Not construction grade. The only reason to pick this tool is because you don't want to start buying into another brands ecosystem.

Previous 18volt xrp drill lasted 20 years never serviced. Drill stutters when drilling probably the trigger switch started within 6 months purchasing. Hammer drill function is almost useless on jobsite not worth the option. Impact driver chuck wobbles and loose from factory. Won't be buying expensive DeWalt tools again since they are just as disposable as their budget options. Disappointed DeWalt used to have decent durable products.

As for our projects go, these have been huge in helping get the work done, tile removal, flooring, kitchen/bathroom demo & reno. The adjustment for me - being on top of the torque. Yes, I am not as strong as I used to be but the fastening with the impact is spot on. Yes I am woman who grew up working part-time in her dad’s shop. Now, these added pieces have been rounding out what me & my teenagers can pull off besides our home renovations

Was waiting for a sale on a good set of drills and when this came up I jumped on it, replacing a rather old DeWalt drill ages before lithium ion batteries and these have so much more power and torque but still easy to use. The included 2x 4ah batteries last a very long time which is very helpful. Although they do have some weight to them. For the light hobbiest I would still recommend these drills but I would imagine the 2ah batteries would have a more comfortable weight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both drills are toast I was gifted these drill a few months ago so, I sold my Ridgid drills. While, more powerful, the hammer drill just died on me and the impact took a 3 foot fall that broke the shell that I JB welded back together. Then shortly after, the bit release ceased and I can't get it out no matter what I do. I have to replace both now and thinking I'll go to Milwaukee or back to Ridgid.
