Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased this after my old electric staple gun died. I started off using 3/8" staples to tack down vapour barrier on wood studs and joists. It wouldn't sink the 3/8" staples far enough so I switched to 1/4" staples (using a full strip each time). About 1 out of every 5 staples shoots one side into the wood but somehow the other side sticks straight out. After countless scratches on my hands from finding these backwards staples, I started stapling with a set of pliers to pull out the staple before I jabbed myself. This was the most expensive staple gun. I assumed that the price, and the Dewalt name meant that I was going to get a quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable The staples works as expected, I use mine for vapor barrier, so I staple into wood. I have been the comment where it does not drive into wood, it does if the stapler is firmly held, as with any stapler if the grip is loos, the stabler would kick back. I find in some instances where I cannot get firm pressure, using a hand in the back to press it helps. It is durable, I have bropped mine a few times from the ladder and it has survived heavy use and some abuse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't fully push nails/staples in- useless. This nailer hasn't got enough power to get the nails or staples more than 2/3 in. I have tried it several times, and it always lacks power. SO disappointed, I thought I was buying a quality machine with this brand, but no. I'm stuck with a crappy nailer/stapler, and I don't have a use for anything that can't do the job. I bought it for picture framing and stretching canvas, but can't use it as it leaves staples and brads sticking out of the frame, even though the canvas stretchers are soft wood, Don't waste your money, it is useless. I am still using my mechanical staple gun while this garbage sits on the shelf. DeWalt should have pulled it off the shelves a long time ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no power Doesn't have enough power to drive small brad tacks into wood. Highly disappointed. Always been happy with Dewalt tools and this one let me down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this little tacker!!! I almost didn't because of a few poor reviews, but I'm so glad I did! I carpeted a full set of stairs in berber and didn't have a single jam (Arrow staples). The power control is great and the tacker itself is super light and easy to carry around. Love it! Could have used easier to find/follow instruction for loading. It was a bit confusing and a bit difficult to find the small blurb explanation, but once I got it, it loaded easily and jam free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use stapler Just bought this stapler and it worked great with 1/4 staples tacking velcro to baltic birch plywood. Works great to staple vinyl to plywood as well.

Asked by: Psyl
Unit is underpowered. Unable to drive staples in anything that I have tried so far. My manual one works OK and my pneumatic one works ok but not not this one. Needed electric for inside work as compressor is in my work shop andctoo big to haul around.
