Aluminum sleeves are designed for forming an eye or loop on wire rope. Aluminum cable stops are designed to prevent movement of wire rope beyond a certain point. Sleeves and stops are made of aluminum so that they are soft enough to be crimped but still provide ample strength and corrosion resistance. When properly applied, aluminum sleeves develop the same breaking strength as the cable onto which they are crimped. If used on PVC-coated cable, remove the coating from the assembly area before swaging. Sleeves and stops can be fastened using the appropriate sized crimping and swaging tool. Designed for use on 3/32 in cables. Set includes 8 sleeves and 8 cable stops.

7x7 cable consists of 7 individual wires that are laid in a spiral around a center or king wire to form a strand. These strands are then twisted together to form a cable. Each wire is hot-dipped in galvanized steel and the finished cable is covered in a PVC coating for even better corrosion resistance. The cable measures 1/4 in with the PVC coating and 3/16 in when stripped. Typical applications include use as garage door cables, for tie-downs, in dog runs, for hanging signs, and as guy wires for antennas and flagpoles. Do not use for overhead lifting.
