I bought this today as I had a fair amount of weeding to do and being someone with a bad back who should not be crouching down, I was hoping this would do the trick...many of the weeds were between stepping stones, a place this is supposed to work. Well, it held out for about for about 6 swipes then the hold on the telescoping bar was useless, it wouldn't tighten at all and kept collapsing. On top of that it was like there was no edge to cut the weeds out with, the weeds just went limp. I ended up having to use a kitchen knife and crouch down after all... I am now in unbelievable pain due to the work that I had to do that this tool was supposed to save me... a couple hours work turned into at least 6. Would I recommend this... not on my screaming back...and all the other joints that have joined in.
