Frigidaire has a long history as a good brand, and we have a local dealer, so we bought this. Really happy. Everything works as advertised, and the heat is very even, and controlled, kind of like gas. And the controls are pretty intuitive. Very easy to clean, as the top doesn't really get hot, so spillage doesn't bake on. All of our cookware worked with induction. Was reasonably easy to install. Enjoying cooking again!!

I still spatter grease but after it cools if comes off nicely and I can polish up the cooktop so that it shines. I now keep the island clear of other things like knife or utensil holders because I am so pleased with the way the cooktop sits snugly so close to the counter top. I worred about getting a cooktop with few bells and whistles but who needs them? Water boils in one minute and simmers so gently when making rice. I really like it.

I was nervous to use it at first, but it’s as easy as pie now. I read the instructions fully and I feel like I am a pro. My favorite feature is the rapid boil. Wow! I don’t even use an electric kettle anymore because the water boils faster than the kettle can. I am happy to say my meal preparation is now much easier.

Very easy cleanup is a positive side effect to cooking with Induction. My only suggestion would be to add the word “Induction “ somewhere on the top of the cooktop so people know at a glance it is an “Induction “ cooktop and not just an electric cooktop!

So fast to heat up, instant on and off, and if you spill something or it boils over just wipe it up, it won’t burn on like a glass top. Time and energy saver! Also looks amazing in my granite countertops! The frigidaire 30” has a good layout and feels a lot more spacious than others I’ve had.

It's a game changer when it comes to meal time now. With our diet, it literally cuts our food prep time in half. After having an electrician install a 240 volt outlet, we remove our gas cooktop and installed this unit ourselves.

Can I use my glassware on this cooker?

No, glassware is not magnetic. Most pots and pans bought now come induction suitable though. To check if they are induction suitable use any magnet around the house. If the magnet sticks to the pot/pan you can use it on an induction stove top.

The slider controls look as if there are many divisions between the power levels up to 9.  Are there just 9 power levels or are there intermediate level settings as well?

What are the minimum cut out requirements for this model? If my current cutout is 29.5 inch x 19.25 inch will this fit without having to further cut my countertop?
