Mounting the kick plate to the bottom of the door prevents damage. Comes with 8 mounting screws to insure even mounting to door. Stainless steel comes with pvc protective film to be removed after installation. All stainless steel (20 gauge) type 304, no. 4 finish. Radius corners.
