Rated 1 out of 5 by from Auto Fill Sensor does not work I bought this a few days ago and have done a few loads of laundry in it. It was a horrible purchase. The auto fill does not work, it only fills about 2-3 inches of water and the clothes/ towels just go in a circle, no agitation at all, nothing gets clean. I am currently in the process of returning this machine and I can't express how horrible Home Depot's customer service is. I have spent, at this time, over one hour on and off hold, with very little being completed. I do not recommend this product, going forward, I will only be buying a machine which allows manual water level choices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good affordable machine that works well I was a little worried after reading some reviews, but the machine is good. It’s lighter than a lot of machines so if it’s not overloaded it’s not going to rock or walk like others have said. (The weight makes it much easier to carry down to the basement). My clothes seem cleaner than they did with my front load machine and they’re always wet when they come out. If you’re opening the machine near the beginning, it may seem like there’s not a lot of water and they’re dry, but let the machine do it’s work and it’s all good. “It all comes out in the wash” ;-)

Because of the price point I was willing to overlook the rather flimsy build and basic functions of this machine. After installation I ran a test load of towels to be on the safe side. The noise this machine made when the agitator started was unbearable. The noise was so bad I returned the machine thinking it was defective. Upon receiving and testing the replacement machine, it was just as bad. (I will attach a video if I can). Did get I get two lemons in row? Either way, I now have no faith in the brand and am returning the second washer and the matching dryer. Kudos to my local Home Depot on the way they have handled the situation..

Impossible to balance properly so that the clothes do not all go to one side and then makes horrible banging sound when spinning. I've spent hours trying to balance this washer to prevent this. Tried balancing using the outside frame and the drum itself. Doesn't matter. Also, I know it's supposed to be "high efficiency" but it doesn't put enough water in the drum to properly soak the clothes. Some of the clothes come out with completely dry spots and when the clothes are dried you can clearly see where the clothes haven't been washed because of this. Worst purchase ever. I will never buy another GE product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY! IT DOESN'T FILL ENOUGH WATER! The machine was delivered to me on Sep. 3. I did my first wash yesterday morning (Sep 10). It shreded the first load of clothes. In the evening I thought maybe I didn't select the correct cycyle, so I went for a second try, and this time I put sheets in it. No luck. In picture 2, that's how much water I get after selecting heavy, 1/5 of the water. With "rinse" cycle, there is even no water filled. I phoned Home Depot today (Sep 11), 18007592054X2520, of couse the phone doesn't work, you'd have to text them (84322), not helpful at all. Even though their sales wrote Replace in 8-10 days, they are not honouring it and insisted it is after 48 hours, and there is nothing they could do. What am I supposed to do with a washer doesn't fill water?! Busy tone with GE Service line (1-877-688-6600). Save yourself sometime and energy, do not buy this machine.

I am posting a video on light load, 10 shirts. Just imagine what it sound like when we are washing bed sheets and blankets. I don’t know if its poor design or just cheaply made. Very unsatisfied with this purchase. What a waste of money. Do not buy this product. Home Depot if you can help please do. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just like all the reviews say, it's the worst This machine truly is the worst, just like all the reviews say it is so loud and sounds like it's gonna explode and push itself out of the laundry room. I have learned to adapt to it but my overwhelming complaint is that if I wash something like a duvet the cycle will end and the duvet will be soaking wet still and I have no idea how to just do a drain cycle, like every other washer on the planet you can just set it to spin and drain and it will just do that… I am begging GE to address this in these comments so I know how to just get it to spin and drain so my duvet doesn't weigh 20 pounds of water. Sheesh.

The delivery was on time and they placed it in the basement for me.Delivery people unpacked it and took away the packaging. You don't need to put much soap in it or it will not get rinsed off your clothes because it only put's enough water in the drum to get the clothes wet. When its agitating it makes a loud squeaking noise, not sure if this is normal?

Hello - just got this but can’t figure out to select the water temperature. Also the Manuel indicates that are knobs for spin selection and wash temp. On pages 6-7. Where are those? Also can you confirm that the water level is adjusted automatically?

What is the size of the door (length, width, height)? This is important because the dryer is on top. I want to make sure that when the washer door is open, it will not hit the dryer. Thank you.

The door height is 18 3/4 " high. The door width is 22". The height of the washer with the door up is 56 1/2 ".

The 20 minute final spin cycle is creating abnormally large amount of wrinkles in my clothes. Whats up with that? I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this washer. 50 yrs experience with laundry and ive never seen this before. Iron everything? Heck no!!!

Well I have never noticed that , maybe too many clothes in at once. But what I did notice is when it's washing clothes it's loud. Also you have to use HE soap or you will have soap all over your clothes when its done. I wished I bought a higher end washing machine.

We just bought this washer. We have loaded it and pressed start. The lights turn on but the machine does not start. Its just the pause light blinking. The lid doesnt seem to lock either. Any help?

You should call technical support. If the issue isn't fixed, then return and get another one. Usually the lights blink, lock the lid and it doesn't start for 2-3 minutes

There is no Soak option for load for the GE | Model # GTW302BMPWW 4.4 cu. ft. the washing machine . There is a Soak Led which never comes on for this model. Surprised that there was no mention in the manual about this?
