Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happily surprised! We recently moved and the existing dryer died after 4 loads. We needed something quick to replace it and wanted to keep costs low while replacing both washer and dryer. This machine is way better than the old front loading washer and dryer set we had inherited with the house. The washer is bigger, cleans way better, and the dryer is also able to handle way bigger loads than we thought it would. Also, I am not a fan of front loading washers, I find whatever you do, they get a smell. Overall, if space is a concern I would recommended this option vs stacking separate washers and dryers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money! I bought this washer.fryer combo in Feb 2022. It’s only good for clothes, nothing else. I tried to wash 2 small bath mats. The drum bangs against the sides of the machine and seems to want to explode! Mats are soaked and I need to take to a laundry mat to have the mats rung it. This machine doesn’t even wash a double sized blanket or bedspread. The drum cannot handle the load. Sometimes there are black spots on my clothes but I can pick the them off. Unacceptable. Too bad this machine is only good for light washes. Will have yo sell and purchase another brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite what I had hoped for Only the bulk wash setting gives consistently satisfactory results. It uses a lot of water, but there seems no other way to do most laundry. For example, I washed two twin sheets on the supposedly appropriate setting and they came out of the wash with dry spots, even after going through 2 washes. I have found that, because there is no agitator, and water levels in the regular settings are extremely low, the regular type settings only work when washing a small number of small items. The dryer is pretty good and has a surprisingly large capacity for its size. I found the eco setting didn't seem to work properly as often things came out damp even at the most dry setting, so I now use only the timed setting, which works very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good, appliance or GE service for repair I had this washer/dryer delivered on Jan 27, it broke Feb 19. GE has been a nightmare to deal with. Home Depot wont let me return it. I get things break, but 3 weeks in, and left to wait 2 weeks for a part, while the washer, through its turned of still tries to spin and I can smell the motor burning.

Call if it happens again and will replace board 2nd call to repair Nov 4, 2020 starts when off e.g. in the middle of the night = board. New board not correct. Repairman has made calls to GE. GE will not receive the correct new board until Dec. 13, 2020 so it will be shipped to the repairman and installed after that date. I'm a single senior so the machine hasn't been overused or abused.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, good quality, a couple of function needs It seems like a solidly built, quality washer-dryer so far. Each drum is very spacious inside. The sound level is fine for this kind of "tower" appliance. Everything is balanced and doesn't shake. Shorter people will benefit from a small step-stool to see/reach fully inside the dryer (top). I'm giving 4-stars because it's a design flaw to not have an alert sound to indicate when a load is done, and to not have established or provided a chart that indicates the estimated lengths of each wash and dry cycle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just moved into new condo that came with this new machine but wash spinning makes loud sound so we do not wash clothes in a morning. Also when I complained about the tub hitting the inside walls of the machine when its fast spinning, I was told that I had to ensure each and every load is evenly spread. Unlike other machines where you just set and forget so you can do something else -- with this, I have to check and attend to every time it makes unusual/loud sounds.

How much space is needed in the back of this stackable unit for the venting? How close from back of unit? Inches?

There are a number of options to fit the vent pipe. You can buy flat 90° vent pipe adapters that reduces the space requirement to two or three inches or less.

Why it just does not start to wash? I heard and saw water is coming for one or two flush, it then just tops there.

Do you hear about three “ clicks” after it stops? If so the lid isn’t locking lift the lid it put it down again firmly. Press start again and if that doesn’t work, try disconnecting it from the plug or the fuse box. Wait a couple minutes and try again. If it works I just saved you $150 which I paid for a service call for the same problem. You’re welcome.

Hello Joe88, Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry that you are experiencing this. There are a few things that you can contribute to a longer dry time and what you can do to remedy this. 1. Improper sorting -Separate heavy items from lightweight items. 2. Large loads of heavy fabrics - Separate large, heavy fabrics into smaller loads 3. Controls improperly set - Match control settings to the load you are drying. 4. Lint filter is full - Clean lint filter before every load. 5. Improper or obstructed ducting - Ensure that the duct is installed correcting and is clean, free of kinks and unobstructed. 6. Blown fuses or tripped circuit breaker - Replace fuses or reset circuit breakers. 7. Overloading/combining loads - Do not put more than one washer load in the dryer at a time. 8. Underloading - If you are drying only one or two items, add a few items to ensure proper tumbling. -Thank you.
