Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good solid box. Latches don't last as long. I've used this box for about 6 years on my pontoon boat. It has been outdoors except during the winter and is still solid with only mild sun fading. However the latches have faded to pink, gone chalky and do not snap down tightly. I was told that GSC has no sales reps so they can't order replacement latches for me. I contacted GSC directly and they confirmed there was no way to send a pair of latches to my local Home Depot store. They sell the latches for $6.74 but shipping to Toronto is $23.34. Shipping to Montreal (less than an hour from their factory) is $21.02. Their only suggestion was that if I bought extra sets of latches, the average price for shipping each set would drop. It is very annoying that the latches alone would be $30 including shipping when I could buy a whole new box for $27.78. This is no help for the consumer or the environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps stuff safe and dry We've been using this virtually every weekend to go back and forth from the city to our cabin, 190kms away. Whether in the cargo basket on the roof of the car or in the back of the pickup truck, it travels well through rain and snow and keeps everything dry, including clothes and electronics. We're thinking of getting another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, strong stackable bins We have about a dozen of these now, and we use them for all kinds of storage needs. From camping equipment to hand-me-down clothes to Christmas decorations, these are big enough to hold most typical household items. The lids are detachable, and occasionally fall off when fully opened, but they snap back on easily, and when they're latched, they're very secure. There are carrying handles built into the sides, which make it easy for one or two people to carry. They stack really well, securely fitting on top of the bin below. We have some stacked 5 high and they're super stable. They are robust enough that we haven't cracked one yet, unlike other widely available but flimsier storage totes. Overall, after 20+ years of searching for durable stackable bins, we've found a winner. I just wish more Home Depot stores carried them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid tote These totes are solid. The lid mates into the rim of the top of the bin nicely, pretty weather tight and they can handle a lot of weight. I'm using these as underground battery boxes for a solar installation. Two of these boxes, each containing 4 deep cycle batteries, buried in a two foot deep hole under the cabin. Works great for this purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rugged and strong The storage lockers are strong and ruggedly built to survive rough handling. The tops and bottoms are moulded to mate together so they can be stacked high. There are ventilation holes high in the recessed hand holds. I've been buying the storage lockers for 20 years for every purpose from clothes to tools and they've never failed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it Plastic is flimsy. Once it is full the lid does not like to fit properly. After one use one of the clasps cracked and popped off. Very disappointed in the quality. Positives it is a good size with a spot to grip on each side. Lid comes off for easy cleaning.
