Rated 3 out of 5 by from Face shield Bit pricey for what it is. There is a protective film that covers the face shield appearing as a green tint. You can remove it relatively easily with warm water and dish soap. It would have been nice if the company left a bit extra on corner of film for easier removal, plus another person complained not realising there is a film and assumed it was a blurry tint making it impossible to see. Although they acted a bit rashly in returning it, I can see why people would be confused as there is nothing saying there is a protective film, and that it blends/is cut perfectly so you can't tell it's separate from the actual face shield. I have had no issues otherwise so far. Will update if there are defects etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy -- unusable & dangerous Just bought this -- wear glasses, thought it would be an extra layer of protection for chain saw and string trimmer. Just one problem: The plastic has terrible optical properties and you get very blurred images looking through it. And this item isn't cheap. Too bad: the ratchet head band and pivot both work like a charm, but it's both useless and dangerous. And yes, I checked to see if it was dirty, and tried washing it very carefully even though it was right out of the package. Tried looking through it both ways & different angles. Useless.

Works great, I use this for weed trimming to keep plant bits off my face, and various power tool work around the home, sometimes paired with glasses. The dial on the back makes it easy to size for wearing a hat or not. Taking the protective film off the first time was a little tricky but not unmanageable. I've gotten a lot of use out of it without having to replace the shield portion yet.

I never write reviews but am so disgusted by this that I’m compelled to write this one. Shame on Home Depot for carrying this crap. Would give it zero stars if that were an option
