Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Good... Decent quality shades at a competitive price. In my case I had an outside mount and I wish I ordered a wider one by about 2 inches (lots of room). As is, there's a bit of light that slips through around the edges so they don't act as true "blackout" shades. But other than this, they're nice, good looking and super-fast to operate: no fuss, no drama with outside cords etc. Just like others said, make sure you order a length that's at least 2 inches longer than your window because there's a bit of spring-back when it's completely extended. They do provide some brackets to make it stay stretched, but if you just go a bit longer you simply don't need to bother with the stay brackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second purchase of these blinds! This is our second time purchasing these blinds for our kids' rooms and they're well worth the money. We do still have to layer up with blackout (or at least room darkening) curtains due to the light that escapes around the edges, but that's no fault of the shades. Super easy to install and operate and (aside from the slight light leakage around the edges) they are 100% blackout. Highly recommend. My only advice is NOT to round down the measurements as suggested. Both times, we've ordered the exact measurement, or rounded UP to the nearest 1/4 inch and both times have been a perfect fit.

Some work great, others are a nightmare - difficult to operate and keep straight. due to force needed to pull blinds down they won't last long. Asked sales assistant at HD but wasn't interested in helping, said they would free up in time. Poor Product for price charged.

The little clips that go on the bottom of the window is too large to fit between the shade and the window frame. (I now have to patch the little holes I made in the window frame to install those.) How much more could it have cost to include a little tab to grip with for pulling up and down? This tab would let me get the bottom a hair lower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shade. Very happy with this shade. It was super simple to install, and blocks the sun nicely. Only issue I have is that there is no pull down tab. You have to grab the bottom bar itself. It's not the best if you have the curtain mounted inside the window frame like I do. But it is not too bad. I will likely design and 3d print a tab to mount on.

can you outside mount this type of blind?

Mine is mounted to the window trim (along the top) and covers the trim on the sides of the window but does not extend beyond that. Hopefully, that is helpful. it’s not inside mounted.

Do these tend to bend in the middle a bit when all the way open or closed? My current blinds do that and I am trying to find ones that stay straight at all times.

What if the the width of the blind that is required is not listed? I require a blind 33 3/4" x 48" (which is listed) but also a blind that is 33 7/8" x 48" (which is not). Do I order two that are 33 3/4"?
