With five burners it makes it easy to have multiple things going at once and the 36" width allows for bigger pots and pans. The way KitchenAid has been able to contain the heat underneath the bottom of the pot or pan is also impressive. With other gas cooktops I've had I often needed oven mits to take them off. This one has been great for that which also allow for them to heat up faster making it more efficient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BE CAREFULL Absolute GARBAGE!!....our Certified Gas Installer stood with us for the first ignition of this Bomb....as soon as he turned the center burner on BOOM ...the knob blew up and the stink from the short was horrible....LED and igniter are toast!....2 seconds and now its junk.We are Sending back the second faulty appliance from Home Depot in one week....not happy

Great product and great performance. Only issue is that it is difficult to know if the stove is on or off from the knobs since there is no distinct marking on the knobs to clearly see where they point to.
