Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product identfies for gutters, but Parent Company Product went on fine and was easy to work with on my gutter project. BUT, and this is a big but ....the product information clearly identifies "for gutters" but prior to buying had send an email to the parent company (Henkel) regarding its usage for gutters. Their email response arrived days after my project was done and I had used Quad Max as the sealant. Their response was : "Unfortunately, the Quad Max is not recommended to be used as a gutter sealant. We do not have another product we can suggest for this type of application." Apparently the marketing guys and the technical guys aren't talking ... see image. That's worrisome!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever I've been using regular Quad for years and love it. Great for trip etc. HD was out of the black so I had to buy Quad Max. I removed the nozzle, punctured the seal and tried using the caulking. It was all I could do to get any to come out. So hard that it started coming out the plunger side. I didn't want to waste it so I tried applying with my finger. Huge mess. I called the company and they basically said, try another one. No offer to help any other way. Quite dissapointed. I was Happy with regular Quad buy Quad Max is awful. This is not normal I'm sure so you think they would have sent me replacement or something. And it's more expensive as well.

At our house we love DIY projects and we do them often. My dad had been looking to seal our windows before the cold winter hit and so we used this opportunity since the weather has been warmer to seal the windows. This product went above and beyond our expectations! It is good quality, not sticky and easy to apply. It dries quickly and comes in many colors. We bought more after testing this to do the rest of our windows. It is fairly priced and one tube goes a long way. Thank you influenster for showing us a new quality product!

Application hint: As you apply sealant, use spray bottle to spritz light film of paint thinner and gently smooth bead with finger. Will give beautiful smooth finish, which can be painted over with good quality latex paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have a window in the basement, that has been letting in a draft. Thankfully, i own a chaulking gun. The application was easy i just cut the tip off, put in the chaulking gun, and pull the trigger. I put the chaulking around the window inside and out. I had plenty left, i removed several old window chaulking seals and repeated the process. I still have a ton left. I plan on heading over to my parents to use up the rest. The application really was simple and it made a huge difference. I highly recomend rechaulking your windows this time of year, prior to winter hitting!

I received this product on an incentivized promotion from Influenster. LePage Quad Max caulking is easy to apply from the caulking gun and fills small spaces with ease. I redid the casing on three windows in my house and I only used about a quarter of the tube.  I found clean up to be simple, and I really like the tip of the tube as it fits into tight gaps. The fact that this is an interior/exterior product and the colour match lineup perfectly made me happy. I can’t wait to try more LePage caulking products as this one definitely gets top marks. I like the consistency of the product as I don’t have to squeeze too hard on the caulking gun to get proper flow.

Can this be used around showers and baths? Does it fade or yellow!

Can I use this on concrete expansion gaps?

Could this product be used to re-attach rubber seals to fiberglass on a RV slide room?

Thank you for the question. LePage QUAD MAX is not designed for this purpose and would not be recommended for this intended use as it will experience bonding difficulties to flexible rubbers. Depending upon what may have been used in the past you may want to consult your local RV dealer for assistance.

Can this be used to caulk and glue range hood duct vent covers? Will it cure properly in Canadian winter? Thanks.

Thank you for the question. LePage QUAD MAX may be used for sealing around exterior vent covers. The product can be applied over a temperature range of -18°C to 60°C. However, for the best application, the sealant itself must be at or above room temperature. Remove any ice, snow, or frost that may be present on substrates before applying the product. Full cure may take 24-72 hours or longer due to the colder temperatures. Once cured, the service temperature for this product is -25°C to 70°C.
