Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with quality of parts Although I was happy when I purchased this washer less than 4 years ago, I am now very disappointed with the quality of the LG washer parts. Our washer stopped draining and we had to get an appliance repair company to come. Although the pump still worked, the entire part has to replaced because it is attached with a plastic clip that cracked. It’s going to cost us $300 for the repair. Why can’t LG ensure they use parts that will last the life of a washer? The appliance guy told me they did 4 repairs this week because of the exact same problem. No wonder landfills are filled with appliances that are just a few years old because people can justify the cost of repairing them.

The machine is quiet, efficient, and handles large loads with ease. My clothes come out cleaner and fresher than before, and the different wash settings make it versatile for all types of loads. It’s been a good replacement for my laundry routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable washing machine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Error code and unreliable service from the washer. The washer looks good and I am sure it works well when the system links up correctly. I have had problems with it not working properly and displaying the IE code several times since we received it 29th November. Today Agnes connected it to the mother board and it worked eventually and I was able to use the washer. Here is the created number for the problems. (CNN2401717859995) Today January 17th it displayed the IE code again and I called LG.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best frontload washer we have ever owned. If you need a washing machine that does its job well and does not cause you any trouble, this is it. We have rentals and we own about 6 of these units including our own. We have various ages of this model going back 15 years. We have only had one issue with the oldest unit with the drum position sensor which was diagnosed on line and fixed by us for $15 just recently. The wash close well and quietly day after day. Hope this helps.

We were looking for something in a reasonable price range after our last washer finally quit on us, and this one fit the bill. Bonus is that my husband thinks it's the best washer ever, it's extremely quiet, simple to use, has a pleasant chime song notification when the load is done and so far everything comes out amazingly clean - even the dog fur is gone!

The delivery people were awesome and installed it perfectly. They were very careful with the machine and very polite. They cleaned up all the garbage afterwards. I like this machine so much I wish I had ordered the matching dryer. Soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good reliable washer Really liking my LG front load washer. Has a whole bunch of different cycles and can do a large load. Everything comes out well rinsed and almost seems dry. Pleased with it so far and I make sure I wipe the bottom of the gasket every time, dry the door, spray with Fabreze, and then leave it open for awhile. Don't want any mouldy smells!

my washer started leaking on the first load. This happen to anyone else?

Yes. Make sure door gasket is snapped in properly at the bottom. Sometimes when you pull heavy wetter laundry out you can pull it off. Other case is, if you load up with big bulking stuff like comforters and they push too hard on the door glass while washing, this can cause leaking. I wash comforters on their own to avoid this. I own 8 of these machines at various houses and I can highly recommend them.

The picture shows the hinge on the left, but the description says the hinge is on the right. Is it really on the right? If so, I would have to choose one of the other machines which have the hinge on the left.

The specs on your website say this is a right hinge washer but the pics and the instruction manual says a left hinge washer? Which is correct? This matters to us given where the washer is going.

Based on the  Cold Wash™ Technology. is it okay to just hook up this unit to one cold water supply?

Yes, I believe so, but you need to cap of the hot entry to the machine or the cold water could come back through, especially if the temp selection gets changed. If possible, for flexibility, just hook up the hot water hose if available at that location.
