Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large, quiet, easy to load. So far it's ok. I've been using this for about a month now. Pros: I love the large door. Manual controls are excellent. It's a quiet dryer. Cons: The 'sensor dry' seems more of a gimmick. At the 'bedding' setting (I don't know what the difference is between this and 'normal'. No, I didn't read the manual), my comforter was far from dry after the dryer stopped. On the normal setting, my autumn jacket (fleece interior) was still moist after the dryer cycle finished. The settings are a bit optimistic in drying time. No interior light. This is hard to believe. How can LG skip this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Started smoking within a few weeks from the b Smoke started coming from the back panel within 2 weeks of use. Called the support line and asked for a new one. They had to send a "technician" to verify that it is smoking from the cack. They replaces some electronics but the drum still smells like electrical smoke and so does our clothes when they come out, and the laundry room. Not impressed at all how tey handeled it. Wont be buying anymore LG appliances. Also the circular dial is annoying to use as it's slow.

E.g., If you choose the 20-min. manual dry, it defaults to hot and there is no option to have short and cool. I like that it is quieter. I was surprised that there is no light when the door is opened. That, combined with the dark drum (not white, which wold have helped with visibility) makes it difficult to see inside.

We wanted to bring up her laundry area from the basement to the main floor and they fit perfectly in her closet. She was so excited, she spent an hour watching the washer work through the top. These helped with her independence with the large print for the cycles, easy to operate and they look good.

It doesn't dry anything at all and always makes a burning smell whenever it runs and it's brand new. Don't buy this dryer unless your planning to burn down your own house and collect the insurance money.

I am writing as my LG Dryer is saying it needs cleaning. What other vents is there to clean besides the lint trap inside the dryer? As I have cleaned that every time, I use my dryer. The CL light is not going out.

I don't know what controls that feature of the dryer. Could be a switch at the bottom of the filter, or it senses a rise in air pressure when the filter is full. I go with sensor at the bottom of the filter. Maybe push harder on the filter. Home depot should be able to help you. this happened once on mine right at the start, then went away after I cursed it, and pushed on the filter after jiggling it up one down. Been fine since.
