Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible off-gassing (chemicals) I bought the washer/dryer combo approx.2 weeks ago. They reek like chemicals -- a huge amount of off-gassing, despite running the machines constantly for 2 weeks (with windows open, during winter). The washing machine comes with a Prop-65 warning that states it includes chemicals that cause cancer and reproductive harm. The machines might work well, but my house reeks like chemicals and my "clean" clothes make my nose and skin tingly. Recommend avoiding these machines especially if you are trying to get pregnant or have young children in the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Went for cost savings and missed on some features Purchased to replace my 11 year old LG dryer as the repair cost was almost the cost of a new dryer. Couple things I miss on this new lower end model, 1) refresh cycle (when you've left the clothes sitting there overnight) 2) light in the dryer when you open the door. Otherwise, it meets the needs for the price.

LG has no service people in eastern Newfoundland, especially in the St. John's area. I am having a problem with my LG dryer and no one will look at it. A ten year old dryer that LG won't service, nor supply parts for. Buyer Beware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Front Loader Our first front loading washing machine. Looks ultra modern and has many options for the type of load you are washing. Energy and water efficient. The spin cycle removes most of the water which makes the drying time shorter. The only con is that you have to bend down to empty the clothing from the machine.

Is the dryer drum made of steel? In the photos it looks like some sort of white plastic.

Yes the drum is an Aluminized Alloy Steel Drum; the rear is painted white. Looking online you can see additional images that show the inside of the drum, etc.
