Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product and poor service Poor product and poor service from Home Depot and LG. Home Depot installation was not completed, they dumped the product without hooking it up. The washer has always made a hammering noise to the point of bothering neighbours and it is not due to an unbalanced load. The wifi/smart feature on the washing machine has never worked though it does for the dryer. The dryer is mostly fine but it rarely dries items completely regardless of what setting is used. Despite many messages and calls to LG they never did send a repair person within the time of the warranty. This appliance is a bit of a gamble, it sounds like many are fine but there are also lemons like the one I purchased. I regret the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laundry is enjoyable! I recently bought this laundry tower to replace and old clunky laundry that I unherited when I moved into a condo. This unit fit perfectly into the closet and cleans perfectly and quickly. The app feature is great so you know when your cycle is coming to an end...just need to figure out how to lower the volume on the chime when the wash/dry cycle ends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with purchase Glad I went to the store to see that a tower was a better choice than stacking machines, as the tower has all the buttons in the middle where they are easily accessible. I am happy with these machines. They wash and dry well. Small things that I wish: wish the “quick wash” was slightly longer (currently 15 min). Or would be nice to have a choice between a quick wash and the normal wash. Obviously that’s personal preference. Wish there was a “extra water” feature like my old machine. Also on the dryer - there is no delay timer (there is a delay timer on the washer but it’s the dryer you need this for since it sucks the electricity the most and we like to run it when hydro is cheapest). Also wish there was a 10 min timed dry. The shortest timed dry is 20 min.

You have the option of purchasing an app to use some features but after spending the dollars to purchase the unit, you would think LG would offer the app for free. The instructions are not as user friendly, had to google and to learn a simple function. Never had any issues with LG and would recommend this product.

Then we saw this pair or "Tower", it was exactly what we wanted, and now that we have it for about 6 months it is working great, after a few uses the controls became very simple to operate. Great idea and good quality.

It can wash queen duvets which is fantastic as no more laundry mat and it was affordable. We must admit we haven't used the controls from our phones yet but its def a plus. Great overall performance a recommended must buy!

The hinge is on the left so it causes problems in tight spaces. I never thought to ask since every washer/dryer I’ve ever bought has had reversible doors. Beware if this is important to you.

The installation guide says "do not use plastic or thin foil duct", what type of transition duct we should purchase then? Are there any particular ducts that you would recommend?

Your local Home Depot store can help you with the appropriate standard laundry ducting required for installation. Based on the manual: • Use only rigid, semi-rigid or flexible metal 4-inch diameter duct inside the appliance cabinet or for exhausting to the outside. • All nonrigid metal transition duct must be UL-listed. Use of other materials for transition duct could affect drying time. • Ductwork is not provided with the appliance, and you should obtain the necessary ductwork locally.

Does the dryer allow you to vent out the side? This would save me a lot of space because my space constraint is depth (not width). Or do I have to vent it out the back?

Does the washer have a self cleaning function? Have these newer front load washers solved the mold problem common with front load machines

Instructions advise wiping down the washer window and rubber seal ring once done your wash. This helps keep it mold free. We haven’t noticed any buildup in the year we have had our unit.

How do you move it? i.e. if you want to clean behind it or access the shut offs?

I have not had to move it as of yet. I left space between the back and sides of the unit to get a swifter behind. I also have a movable cupboard on the side so if I do need to move it we can move the cupboard and swivel the unit
