Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design As a professional installer with 20 years experience I can say the design of this product makes an acceptable installation impossible. In order to get gap-free and interlocking joints you must align 4 points by eye with perfect precision, no room for error. Also the normal 10% doesn’t begin to cover waste due to the shape of the boards you are loosing almost a foot per row. Terrible design, obviously from someone never having installed a floor

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installation Difficulty & Waste I've just spent the better part of today installing this flooring. The herringbone pattern pattern makes this luxury vinyl floor one of the more difficult to install, but also creates a dramatic finished product. Make sure that you fully understand the installation procedure before beginning as it quite different from traditional plank floors. The two part planks (Type A and Type B) makes using cut-offs elsewhere in the installation virtually impossible, so the waste factor is close to 20% rather than the 5-10% of waste for a traditional plank floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chevron for the bathroom Fits together amazingly tight. The end result was stunning. Took extra time to lay out the planks to get chevron to hit the middle of a doorway. There is more waste versus straight planks. The water tightness and full backing is why we chose this for a bathroom floor. Adults only in the house so large amounts of water on the floor are not a concern.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable Quality Product This is a good quality durable LVP. I installed it in my basement laundry room over concrete since it is waterproof. Installation is reasonably simple once you get the hang of it. It is very important to make sure you start the first few rows square in order to keep the pattern consistent. Once the first few rows are in then it is easy to continue with the pattern. The underlayment on the bottom is color coded to quickly identify the correct planks for each direction. The planks snap together and you make sure they're snug with a tapping block. Overall it's a great product and it has a unique design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique Pattern but a little finicky to install This product creates a really unique floor. The variation and texture on each piece is really nice. In just 1 box there was a lot of variety. As this is a unique pattern, you will find that there is an A and B piece. Installation requires a little more thought, measurement and planning. For example, you will need to cut every side and use it to complete the other side of the row. It is also recommended that you measure both rows and number of rows so that you can keep the cuts symmetrical on both ends and that you have the same size of row at the start and end.. Make sure you take the time to plan otherwise it will not look as nice. I also found that the long edge snapped in nicely while the shirt edges required a lot more fussing to get them locked in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful floor, terrible design. Do not purchase Bought this to install in a small bathroom (7' x 4'). What a terrible design. Each piece of flooring is a parallelogram which makes no sense. Very difficult to click and not break the pointed tips and/or need to cut portions off to run along straight walls. What a waste of material. If they wanted to make a floor with this design, why not just make rectangular planks with the chevron design on it? I had to buy an extra box just to make up for the end pieces I had to cut off to make straight lines. Very frustrating, very wasteful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not scratch resistant AT ALL! Not scratch resistant AT ALL. Look the pictures after only two week of use…. Will not be durable on long term and will probably look terrible after less than 3 years of use.The floor also chipped on one spot, right in the middle of a plank but we didn’t figured what caused it. The whole pattern is awesome, but it’s a disappointment to see that this very expensive floor is so fragile. Feel like we now need to be more gently with that floor than real hardwood floor… I have a cheap vinyl floor in the kitchen that is taking a beating for 2 years now and it showing absolutely not sign of it… I was expecting at least the same resistance from this one. This is not the case. The installation is also not easy, no matter how careful you are, you’ll probably need to deal with a few millimetres offsets of the pattern before the end of your project. In ours case, the offsets is not noticeable to untrained eyes but it’s annoying considering we “triple” the time installing this floor compares to the previous ones.

How much wastage with this design?

More waste than your typical flooring however a gorgeous result. It also takes 3 times longer to install.

Is this waterproof? Good for bathrooms?

Thanks for your question. Our Lifeproof product is perfect for any interior area of the home. The planks are waterproof but water can seep between the seams so we always recommend drying it up as soon as possible.

Can we grout this tile? Or is it just click and lock?

Thanks for your question. You cannot grout this product. When the planks are locked properly, they will fit together tight and flush with no room for grout. The chevron pattern is formed by several pieces of plank glued to a larger plank to make the large scale installation easier and quicker. There would be no individual piece to grout.

Is it possible to lay this floor over a hydronic radiant subfloor? Not the electric kind but Warmboard.

Thanks for your question. Radiant heat is approved only if it is electric or hydro elements buried at least 1/2" below the surface of a concrete subfloor. Radiant mats and panels are not approved.

Am I able to change direction of the flooring without a transition? For example in the entry I want to going one way but down the hall I want it going the other way.

Thanks for your question. You cannot change direction without a transition piece. The planks will not lock together if you try to essentially install 'backwards'. None of our products will install backwards but it's especially true with the way the Chevron pieces are cut like a parallelogram and not a straight rectangle.

I would like to install this product in a sunroom which is not temperature controlled.  Will I have issues with expansion and contraction?
