Unlike regular wheelbarrows, the extra-wide wheel base and low center of gravity provide better load stability; distributing 85% of the load weight to the wheels and only 15% to the operator. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product hit the market! I bought this wheelbarrow a month or so ago, but unfortunately have not had a chance to put it through its paces yet. I have used it though, enough to form a opinion as to its overall quality. And I have to say that it certainly passed my every expectation. This is definitely a great piece of equipment, and should have rated #1 on the ratings list instead of #2. I have added a crossbar between the handles just below the grips to facilitate pulling it behind you when it’s empty. Incidentally, it dumps its load very easily and cleanly. I am a senior, and definitely would not be without this piece of equipment anymore, all the more because I live on an acreage. I really recommend this wheelbarrow!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Review of Product The wheelbarrow is well made and strong. It is also designed well and tips forward to dump loads very easily. One problem - they need better quality control in terms of making sure all the parts are in the box. It comes unassembled, which is fine. But, mine came with bolts, but no 5/16 nuts. Luckily, I had some in my tool chest (albeit I did not have the nylock nuts that were supposed to come with the product). This is just poor quality control and I've read a few other reviews where they had the same problem (parts not shipped). I didn't go back to Home Depot for the nuts because it is just too much of a pain to do that, but they should enforce better quality control from their suppliers, especially on a product that costs as much as this wheelbarrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 - wheel cart or wheelbarrow I bought this to get away from the increasing difficult to use traditional wheelbarrow. This 2-wheel gem was easy to assemble and is easy to use; love the way the weight is balanced over the wheels, requires less effort to pick up and move, and easy to dump. I protected the paint at the 2 contact points by wrapping old fire hose around the frame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay You can haul a lot. Lightweight. Set up wasn’t painful. It does not dump easy as others have commented. Built for short people. Would rate higher if handled were longer. I’m 6’3 and I keep hitting the bar under the wheelbarrow with my legs if I take a normal stride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lifetime Wheelbarrow Works as advertised, most of the weight is above the wheels, and the double wheels certainly stabilizes the wheelbarrow. Though doubles wheels add some friction thus more pushing is required. Fairly easy to put it together.

I've had this wheelbarrow for five years. The tires have now rotted. What replacement tire will fit this wheelbarrow?

The total width of the wheelbarrow is 28.5". With a gate measuring 34" you should be fine.
