Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of the smart switches/dimmers! Speaking as an electrician that sees all manner of smart home equipment, this stuff is best. Easy to install, even by a regular Joe/Jane. Works seamlessly with iOS or android devices. The biggest thing— great support online, by phone or through your local rep (here in BC- Adanac). You can start simple, and add more devices later. Set up some scenes so your lights start to do things automatically, like turning on lights when you get close to home, or turning them off when you leave! How about this: my kids are always leaving the lights on. I set all my downstairs lights on a zone and at night can get Siri to turn them off with one command, without getting out of bed! This stuff just flat out works!

And it integrates seamlessly with iOS. I had to order the on/off wall mounted switches online, but they were delivered free and to my home. Easy peasy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would only buy Lutron Caseta products Lutron Caseta is arguably the best wireless switching systems because it has the largest product line, the switches look "normal", works without Internet connectivity, is z-wave, Alexa, HomeKit, and Home compatible, handles ELV LEDs (with 5NE), has low dim cut-out tuning, the Pico remote system is super-helpful, company has been around a long time, products are well-priced.

Gives a great, smooth and real professional look to the lighting. Works flawlessly with Siri and the Lutron app. Very easy to wire too. Make sure you have deep boxes though as the dimmer is a fairly large size. Recommended.

It hooks up to google home and I can talk to my lights through my phone. and it was very easy to set up and start using.

However, tech support was easy to access and was really helpful. We did a few tests before concluding that the item was faulty. The switch was replaced quickly and efficiently. Now it works like a charm.

I switch from another device that required a monthly payment (Wink) that didn’t even work as well as the Castea. Plan to change all my daily use switches to this system over time.

Can these switches be used in a 3 way switch configuration ie: controlling hallway lights from 2 switches at either end of the hallway?

Yes, the PD-6WCL dimmer that comes in this kit can be used in a 3-way application. The PD-6WCL would be installed at one location, and then the Pico remote that comes in this kit would be installed at the second location. Does this system require an existing neutral wire?

The Caseta dimmer does not need a neutral wire but the Caseta on/off switch does. I prefer the dimmer because it's a soft on and soft off.

I just discovered that I have a Caseta switch inside front door of my new house. The prev. Owners took the rest. If I purchase a starter kit, can I connect my switch to a new base unit and put the new switch elsewhere?

Do I require the Lutron hub if I have a google nest hub? In other words, can I connect the Caseta switch directly to my google nest hub?

The Lutron Caseta Smart Bridge is required in order to enable smart capability of a Caseta dimmer or switch; they cannot connect directly to a Google Nest hub. The Caseta Smart Bridge allows you to control your Caséta Wireless controls and Lutron Serena® remote controlled shades from anywhere with your smartphone, using the free Lutron App for Caséta Wireless. Once you connect the Caseta devices to the Smart Bridge, they then can be integrated with 3rd party smart home devices such as Google Nest. Will this product work with Google Home and if os, how easy is it to set-up??

The Caseta system is compatible with Google Home and the setup is fairly simple. All that needs to be done is once the Caseta app is up and running, you would just need to enable the Lutron skill in Google home in order to link the apps.
