The F2 Drain is quick and easy to use, saving you time on freestanding bathtub installation. Simply install the new five-piece drain and test for leaks on the spot. This easy-to-access drain also lets you get to the bottom of problems without breaking the plumbing. With the F2 Drain, there's no need to demolish the ceiling to access the plumbing saving you time and money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maxx F2 Drain Very innovative... IMPORTANT... 10 3/8” minimum joist space for installation. Maxx needs to modify this to make it more effective for renovations. My home has 2x10 joists, and I was lucky to have a bulk head available for p trap.

Does the F2 drain work with other free standing tubs or just MAAX. For example OVE.

This came with our maax freestanding tub. The space between the top of our subfloor to the top of the ceiling / drywall (below) is 9-3/4". What are our options given that the minimum height required for F2 drain and P-Trap assembly is 10 5/8-inch?

What is the black grease that is between the drain and where it insets to, around the end of the drain? Mine has rubbed off from removing and replacing it a few times during my tubs installation, so would like to know what it is so that I can apply more

When would the included drain adapter need to be used? Is that for connecting a non-ABS pipe to the slip joint?
