Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to cement Super easy to install. Went in very straight with the piece of rebar that was supplied. Held a 4x4 firmly for my home made mailbox. We'll see how it handles freezing this winter but so far it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These worked really well for a backyard partition They are holding 3 8' 4x4 posts connected by 4' x 8' panels of privacy cloth/lattice. Our soil is very rocky so I pre-drilled the holes with an auger attached to a drill and they went in very easily. I did purchase some more screws, the ones they came with stripped very easily. The posts are braced off the back.. if the anchors heave a bit during the winter it will be easy to adjust them. These were so easy to install - a much better solution than concrete, etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nails included are not properly made They are great anchors, easy to use. However quality of hardware needs significant improvement. Out of the 4 packages I got, 6 nails were not usable. They were not properly puncture for you to put the screwdriver in the socket, in fact there were no sockets because it weren’t cut... luckily we were able to use the remainder and get the job finished.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not bad for a short fence Used 12 of these for a 4 foot high light fence. They hold up decently once installed. I broke two of the augers in half screwing them in by hand. Not the strongest options for screw augers. I would not recommend for anything more than a mail box or small decorative fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Anchor These were surprising easy to screw in the ground and were very sturdy once I lagged (c/w) everything in place. I have 4 left that I will be using on another project.

Can this be used for a low deck?

Asked by: Jrfour
Yes it can be used for a low deck. Ideally, the area you choose to insert the anchor should be fee of debris and rock. Even the smallest stones will make it difficult or prevent you from going deeper in the ground.

what is the bearing weight on this post

Asked by: terry
Unfortunately, we can't speak to how well our products will perform outside of their intended use. Because our ground screw is not meant for any other application except our mail posts, we have not done weight bearing testing.

I would like to install some 4x4x8 cedar posts in the ground and use them to strings of lights across a patio. Would this be able to properly support them? The area I am looking at can get windy.

Asked by: Mike
Well, my area does not get windy but I use it to support my mailbox. They got hit by the snow plough twice this year and the mailbox is still standing a little crooked, but still standing.

how many are in a package

how long are they and how do they keep the mailbox secured in the ground
Asked by: Anonymous
There is only one anchor in this kit as only one is required per post. Please see the attached image for the installation instructions. I hope this helps.

Can this be used to install the posts for a fence?

Asked by: Cherry
Our No-Dig Ground Anchor is only intended as an accessory for our Mayne Mail Post installations. Since this application does not typically have amounts of force or load applied to it, we have not commissioned a load test on this item. While we do know of customers that have purchased this product for projects very similar to yours, we cannot make any warranties on the performance beyond our intended application.

How do we drive this "no dig post" in the grown and keep it level/plum?

Asked by: Curious
Our No-Dig Ground Anchor comes with a piece of rebar that is used for leverage to screw the anchor into the ground where you wish to install your 4x4. The anchor should naturally remain level as it is being screwed into the ground.

Unfortunately, our No Dig Ground Anchor is only intended as an accessory for our Mayne Mail Post installations and we do not recommend using them for structural supports.

Asked by: Manny
I just used mine to put to put up bird houses and feeders around my yard    They were perfect for that application   I’m not sure what you are planning but I think they are very strong and would support a fair bit of weight
