Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Moen Quality Unfortunately, this product did not live up to Moen's normal high standards. Our plumber installed the valve and not one, but both sides began to leak. He told us that he'd rarely ever seen one side of a Moen valve leak, let alone two and was quite disappointed. We were able to salvage the product by using plumber's tape, but this is not something we should have had to do with a brand new product. Unfortunately, since all of the stores were closed due to COVID, we had no choice but to make do. We assume Moen is trying to pump out as many products as possible right now during lockdown and quality control is suffering because of it.

I have this and the cartridge has failed. It's Monday and the best Moen can do is call me back on Friday, which is unacceptable considering no baths no showers. What is the cartridge part number? It should be in the product description.

what is the advantage of stops or no stops on a Posi-temp 1/2" IPS Connection?

The advantage to having stops on the valve would be to shut the water off coming into the valve without having to turn off your main water supply. Example: If you need to change the cartridge you can use the stops to shut the water off to the valve rather than turning main water supply off.
