Threaded inserts are often used to replace worn wood screw or metal screw holes that have become oversized due to wear. Installed with a machine screw, bolt, hex key, or screwdriver for those types available with a slotted head. Use flanged type inserts to prevent pull-through. Threaded Inserts prevent wood splitting and the need to use large screws in wood only applications.
