Dark Purple is bigger than the original Bloomerang Purple lilac, and has larger, more rounded inflorescenses. This is a strong grower, and will add beauty and fragrance to gardens from spring to fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A spectacular re-blooming lilac! This is a really amazing and beautiful lilac and it does rebloom again later in the summer which is so nice. I gave one to my daughter for Mother's Day and she also loves it. I bought one last year and it grew to twice the size in 1 yr which is great and why I bought another one again this year for myself and one for a nice gift for my daughter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plant completely torn apart inside package I received my lilac plant in pieces. It was completely torn apart. nothing but mud in the bottom of the box. So sad about that. I contacted them and they were fast to give me my money back so was happy about that. Perhaps they should put on the outside of the boxes....fragile, live plant, handle with care or something like that.

Not sure of the Gallon size but I think it was the mid size pot. I purchased the two bushes a couple years ago and both are doing well and thriving. Flowers smaller than the regular lilac but still pretty. Nice to have blooms a couple times a year.

Yes you can. We have ours in containers large but not very large. A resin planter barrel we are using. Very good results with both. Came back great this year. Got them last year. Good luck

Can I plant this in a planter?

You could plant it in a very large planter (20" diameter to hold 2 gallon) and you will probably get the blooms soon (very lovely and fragrant!).  However, if you want the shrub to survive and thrive next year best to prune off the flowers and plant in the ground.
