Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inexpensive Blackout Drapes Work Well But Sag I bought two of these wide blackout drapes for a standard wide window and one of the narrower drapes for a narrower window. All of the drapes fit perfectly, and seem to adhere well - so far none has become loose or fallen down, even though they are only held in place by an adhesive strip. HOWEVER, the paper construction means that the wider ones sag in the middle when raised, which is somewhat unsightly. These can be corrected with clothes pins or additional clips, but those don't look great either. I would give the narrower one 3 stars, but I'm giving these 2 stars for that reason.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Use once only, not for repeat handling I bought this about a weeks ago and though it was easy to trim to size, stick up and use, it is no good if you have to "open" it again, close it in the evening for darkening effect and repeat the next day and the next because it is made of only paper and once the folds are stretched, you will have a hard time folding it straight up the next day as there is no side guides. The paper simply flop all over the place. I should have known by just looking at the price of $13 or so. What can you expect !!!! The 2 little plastic clips they provide can hardly do the job of holding up the pleats. I had to remove the whole thing and get a more substantial product for the job. It is a total waste of time, money and material. A lesson expensively learnt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Medium blackout, creates heat, falls down These do the trick of dimming light for sure so they work in that sense, however they aren't truly blackout and do let a lot of light in. Also because it's black paper, it creates a LOT of heat during the day when light shines on them. We used them in a South facing window and had to take them down as it put the room about 5 degrees higher than the rest of the house. They also fell down after the first day. I tried rehanging them and using a lot more tape but still kept falling. Once it overheated the room we gave up on them.

When installed the tape didn’t hold the blinds up on its own. I used gorilla tape in 3 spots. Because the blinds are black they do block ALOT of sunlight BUT they also radiate extremely heat when the summer sun is beaming on it . The temp went to 28degrees inside when outside was 22, even with the air conditioner on full blast. Had to take them down or use another method for the summer

To let light in, must use clothes pins to hold it up. Great for blocking streetlights or a bedroom window facing east: summer sunrises come early.

Peel back for sticky tape to fit in window frame. I put them up because summer is too hot with open windows, they do black out sun. I am ready to buy 2 more.
