RESISTO Elastomeric Sealer Alu - 310Ml

Sealant used to seal membrane joints and self-adhesive sealing strips. It is also used to seal the roof details (valleys, vents, chimney base, etc.) and for caulking windows and doors and to repair various joints, holes and cracks. Reflective aluminum pigments are distributed throughout the product for better UV resistance throughout the product life. Installation: Apply ELASTOMERIC SEALER ALU using a standard extrusion gun.

If conditions require, prepare the substrate with EXTERIOR PRIMER or H2O PRIMER. The primer is dry, when tacky but not messy to the touch. On a rough surface (ex .: asphalt shingles), it is recommended to use the ELASTOMERIC SEALER rather than the primer to promote adhesion. Cut the tape and properly position it on the surface to cover. 3. Remove the top of the silicone release film a 10 cm (4 in) surface and press the membrane, taking care to align. 4. Use a heavy roller to apply pressure on the membrane to ensure adhesion. Remove the silicone release paper gradually, while ensuring that the membrane is completely adhered to prevent air pockets and creases. Use a heavy roller to apply pressure to the entire membrane to ensure adhesion. 7. Each time a corner is to be covered with a REDZONE membrane, a gusset (small piece of cut membrane), or a REDZONE CORNER must first be applied to seal the corner.

Installation: 1. Prime the substrate with ELASTOCOL STICK or EXTERIOR PRIMER. 2. Position the membrane parallel to the lower edge of the roof. 3. Fold the sheet, to half of its width, or 50 cm (20 in) over the whole length already positioned. It is recommended to kneel on the unfolded portion of the membrane to keep it in place during this operation. 4. Remove the protective film from the folded section while placing the membrane on the support. The pressure-sensitive portion will then adhere to the support. 5. Then take the other side of the membrane and repeat the previous two steps. 6. Immediately apply pressure on the membrane using a heavy metal roller or hard rubber roller to ensure adhesion between the support and the membrane and avoid forming bulges, folds or gaps. 7. Use non granulated side portion of the membrane to ensure a good overlap of about 10 cm (4 in) from each edge. The overlap must be positioned on the upper side of the slope.
