Rated 5 out of 5 by from 14" Keyboard Slide - Overall a well built piece October 2020: Richelieu 14" Keyboard Slide. Some things to take note : 1) At Home Depot, the Accuride is stocked within the door handle section, instead of with other drawer slides. 2) The 4 holes on the rails are not big enough for the provided screws. I had to use a 9/64" drill bit to enlarge the holes just a little bit. Be extra careful not to enlarge them too much, and go slowly. 3) Somehow there were 4 extra sharp screws, but I really would like see one extra flat screw just in case. 4) The wood tray you will use need to be at least 9.25" depth, else you would not be able to screw on the brackets 4) The mounting is straightforward. I did not even need the installation instructions. 4) Overall a well built piece.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from machine screws won't fit holes on brackets Sturdy design, poor installation instructions so you really need to download the manual. Comes with 4 machine screws to connect brackets to slides but the holes are too small. Tried looking for other size screws but nothing would fit in either metric or imperial. You really have to drill the holes a bit larger on the brackets. Returned the product instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from find another option Just got this two days ago to replace an older slider, the slider itself is good, once installed is fine, but the INSTALLATION! Instructions are unclear, nothing is labeled and the screws don't fit. The Slider and the L-bracket are separate pieces and nothing that came with the 'kit' would let me connect them. I had to purchase small zip-ties and used them to connect the tray to the underside of the desk. Very frustrating. Would not recommend if you can find another brands kit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keyboard tray replacement rails, poor install kit The rails themselves seem to be decent quality, but the installation was huge pain. The mounting brackets couldn't be attached to the rails with the supplied screws because the holes weren't threaded which meant another trip to pick up nuts, bolts that would fit. All four of the brackets were also slightly bent at the mounting point under the desk. I wouldn't recommend these because of the difficulty in installation due to the above problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid build Solid build. This can definitely handle more weight than advertised. Unfortunately, it's not as adjustable as I expected. Currently, I have a full sized shelf mounted under my desk using the keyboard sliders. Using it for my full-size midi controller, it is rock-solid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as they should Directions were useless but if you have any sort of problem solving abilities you can figure out what goes where. Once installed they work as they should.

Does this allow the installed board to stop once it reaches the end of the rail?

Many new desks are coming equipped with keyboard trays that, for some silly reason, do not 'lock' into place when fully extended. As a result, when typing or using a mouse, the board begins to slide inwards. I would like to know if these racks stop when fully extended so I can create my own keyboard tray for a desk.

The slide carried at Home Depot in our Richelieu display in Hardware (far left side lower portion) features a "open" detent which should lock the slides in place. There is a demo on the display so you can see if this item will meet your needs. You could go to www.richelieu.com and enter item UCT20199014 and SEARCH for additional information.
