Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Has good power, although not quite as good as a standard shop-vac. Really like the way the tools, hose and cord all store away, and the shape makes storage easy. The only issue I have is that if you are vacuuming water, and then you want to carry the vacuum outside to dump the tank - the water does slosh around a lot (think of carrying a tray vs carrying a bucket). And the hose inlet is not very high up off the bottom. So it does seem to spill easily vs a barrel vacuum. A good improvement accessory would be for Ridgid to design a snap on cap for the inlet hole - so that you can pack it up, then carry it somewhere to dump the water without spills.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Needs better design. It works fine as a vacuum but is a bit of a pain to work with and is noisier than I expected. The sides open up for storing accessories but they don't STAY up. Opening the sides also takes a little getting used to; the clips are not great. I would have preferred actual latches, or just pushing the side in and up, for example. With the motor and filter in there, space is very limited inside the actual container. The dusting attachment bristles are rather soft and were all bent out of shape after the first use (actually cleaning dust.) I love Ridgid, but am pretty disappointed with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I hoped for Excellent little vac. I was sick of lugging my large Rigid vac around, and struggling with it in tight places. I wanted something that was compact, self contained, and powerful. This is all that, and it's my new favorite tool. It comes with an 1 7/8" flexible hose, which stores nicely in the box (as do the other accessories), but the connection to the vac is actually a 2.5", so it easily connects to a dustopper. At the moment I am using it on one of my jobs for dust extraction, it tucks nicely under my chopsaw along with my dustopper, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended I bought my first ProPack about 2 1/2 years ago because of its form factor. As a renovator, I often have stacks of tools to get to the worksite. This vac "stacks" particularly well (on a standard hand truck), stores easily and transports particularly well given its large and robust top handle. The on-board hose and tool storage is a HUGE bonus. I recently acquired two more of these vacs for a Rescue unit that I am involved with - for the very same reasons that I got the first one. They store particularly well in the trucks' cabinets. Yes, it's a tad noisy and the tank is on the small side but..... its advantages far outweigh these two small disadvantages. This machine does what it is supposed to do and does it very well. If you need a compact, reliable portable vac - stop looking, you found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stackable genius Honestly this may sound stupid but the fact that this vacuum is rectangular, with internal hose storage makes truck storage and stacking possible, other vacuums always had to be top of pile and roll around in the truck! It also happens to work great and can use a filter and bag together (great for fines). Extendable hose works well also. Highly recommend!

Everything stows away into a square box so it can stack well with my other tool boxes. Not only that but it performs great at vacuuming up all kinds of dust dirt and debris that I encounter daily. If you are any kind of professional this item is a must have!

Side storage of extensions makes it easy to stow in the box of the truck with a tonneau cover, long cord means not constantly looking for receptacles. Compartments for accessories and power cord keeps everything tidy and secure

do you remove the filter before vavuuming water

Yes it would be recommended that you take off the filter before you vacuum water. If you do not do this then you are just using up your filter to filter the water that you are vacuuming. Hope that helps.
