The new RIDGID GEN5X 18-Volt LED Flashlight (Tool-Only) is bringing lighting to a whole new arena. With a new ergonomic Hex Grip handle the LED Light makes it easier than ever to light your work space. This light puts out 100 Lumens using a life-time LED light; this means the light will never have to be replaced for the life-time of the tool. The dual bevel head makes it possible to be hands free and still illuminate the work space. Batteries and Charger sold separately. As always this tool is backed by the RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save $ on batteries! This thing is great! I cant see well in low light anymore so I love lighting. It has more of a focal point verses a spread beam. The light it throws is not mindblowing but decent and when I use it I dont worry about battery power at all. On a 2amp battery it can be on a long time. I have not timed it but it's a long time. If you want to save money on buying batteries or the environmental aspect of less waste, buy this.

Excellent grip, lightweight, I really like how all the major tool brands are going cordless (for anything practical to be cordless anyways). I hadn't been shopping for tools in a long time, but this simple little light got me rethinking my collection. In the 3 months since, I did some research, and I've sold a lot of my tool collection and made it orange! I now have the gen5x: flashlight, light cannon, drill, circular saw, the toolbox set + tool bin, 2 2AH batteries, and 2 6AH batteries. The lifetime service agreement is amazing. The quality of the tools are excellent, and slowly I'm adding more to the collection. Great products. Do pay attention to the online deals, and visit the store frequently for on the spot deals!

Not amazing, but not awful either. the beam of light is not very wide, so it does work for spotlighting on a specific area nicely. It's not super bright or anything, but it does work in replacement of buying batteries for my typical flashlight. The battery does add weight to the overall feel of it. The small head on the top rotates around so that comes in handy. Overall it's just ok.

Combined with the usb charger I am set for blackouts. The light itself worked really well when I had to change my wife's car battery the other night. It lite the engine compartment up and I was able to get the job done. Thank goodness LED has replaced the old bulb based ones.

I chose this because of my collection of Ridgid tools and 18V batteries but it works great and I love how it's built like a drill so it can stand on its own and you can rotate the head to shine the light where you need it.
