Does it get applied to the walls vertically or horizontally?

Thank you for your question. For applying Peel and Stick Wallpaper, be sure the area is nice and smooth before applying. If you need to paint, you will need to wait 4 weeks for the paint to fully dry before applying.

Can the product be applied to a [gas] fireplace front? There is some heat.

I habe some very ugly tiles as my back splash. This makes an uneven surface due to grout between them. To make the surface smooth would: scuffing the tiles ; applying Durobond to make the surface smooth; then a coat of paint work?

Thank you for your question. You would want to remove your tiles and be sure its a smooth flat surface before our wallpaper will apply. If you apply paint, you must wait at least 4 weeks to be fully dry before applying the wallpaper to your wall.
