Rated 5 out of 5 by from A totally adequate drill at an adequate price Does exactly what it's supposed to: It drills. It's compatible with any 18V One+ battery, which is cool because I have a pile from my old (lost) drill, impact driver, and angle grinder. These Lithium batteries work with the old One+ tools, which is cool for the same reason. I've used it for everything from hanging mirrors in drywall to extracting stripped high-strength steel bolts and screws in my car. I don't know if it'll last as long as a $200+ drill. Probably not. But for <= $100 I don't really care. Do you need a cordless drill? Buy this, I guess.

Using the drill and it died on me.....so i took the battery off, fixed it to the charger, plugged the charger in and nothing. This would of been it's third charge in the 12 months I've owned it!!! I'm awaiting feedback from Ryobi themselves as I lost my receipt when I moved house. I feel loathed to spend more money buying a new battery or charger, due to the lack of reliability of this one. Buy at your peril

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing The trigger mechanism is very poor when drilling or driving. While depressing the trigger very slowly and smoothly, the RPM slowly ramps up as expected but then suddenly jumps to full speed. I haven't experienced this on any of my other (corded) drills. I exchanged this drill for another one of the same model and experienced the same problem. Kept the kit only because I need an inexpensive cordless drill for a project, otherwise would have returned it for a better quality tool.

The best thing about this purchase was that it uses Ryobi's ONE+ battery system which meant that the battery worked fine in my 20 year old Ryobi drill that used a ONE+ NiCad battery (which wasn't holding a good charge anymore). I am very happy with the purchase
