I bough 3 (used and returned 2) ... one I have never received. If someone from RYOBI is reading this please check ... 1. The first one worked well for around 40 days (usage - 2 minutes/day). 2. The second one worked well for just 8 days ((usage - 2 minutes/day). The sprayer is nicely constructed and I loved it, but the product overall is not worth of money. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Love it! Saves my arms and my back maintaining my large gravel parking pad that requires constant attention for weed control. After a couple of user induced hiccups - I finally got it working. NOTE: 1) make sure that NO debris falls into the liquid chamber (no matter how small bc it will plug the tiny filter) and 2) ensure power unit is seated correctly otherwise the unit loses it's ability to maintain air pressure. Did I mention I love it? ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for small-medium jobs... Got it to spray our roof to treat for moss. Takes a fraction of the time compared to a sprayer that has to be pumped by hand. Battery works great and I like the system enough that I have started buying other Ryobi 18V tools as well! I would give it a 5 star rating except that it came delivered with a kinked hose that reduces the spray pressure somewhat at nozzle end. I contacted Ryobi support and they were very helpful although the promised replacement hose has not actually arrived yet. Would buy again without hesitation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Missing battery I bought this online and when open it after a week, I found that the package inside was all ripped and the battery was missing. Called customer service and after staying on hold for 50 minutes I hung up. I called next morning and finally after 45 minutes a rep picked up. She tried her best for another 1 hour to find a solution for my problem as the machine was shipped from Home depot ware house. I told her to call me back with an answer and it was really nice of her to call me back after an hour with a suggestion to buy a battery from Home depot and order another one and after getting a new machine return the previous one without battery. I am ordering another but not sure about the quality. I was really disappointed with the shipping service as I didn't expect this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You need this. Now. Love this thing. I originally got introduced to battery operated sprayers when I broke both wrists. As they healed I couldn’t manually spray - I bought the black and decker backpack one - worked great but way too heavy Didn’t think that one through. Then ryobi came out with this one. Perfect for spot spraying to keep up your lawn. Only issue I had was I could remove the battery to charge it. Had to bring it back to HD Store to do it. And loosen it a bit. I’ve just ordered the tool - only 2 gallon one of these. This one gallon needs refilling often if you have a problem lawn at beginning of season. Ok. I know. Now i have 3. But I think they all serve a purpose. I will never go back to manual pump and spray. I’m a woman and that’s just way too much work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife will never give it up Say goodbye to all that stupid pumping. While it might be nice to have a larger container that would only make it heavier and it only takes a minute to unplug it. Battery last along time and we have sprayed our 120 by 150ft lot twice on a single charge so no concerns. The only thing I want to note is that if you fill it to the top on the plastic container and tilt it you will get some small dripping so just fill to about a inch from the top.

First year it failed twice and was repaired under warranty but I had to make 2 trips to the far side of London to drop it off and pick it up. It worked fine the following summer but this summer it just spits out the occasional dribble and the hose it not plugged. When it worked, it worked great. Is this the new normal - battery powered tools that last about as long as the warrant??

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second time is the charm I bought the ryobi chemical sprayer a few months ago as I have a few manual pump sprayer which I had to continuously stop to pump to operate the sprayer. The cordless sprayer seemed like a great idea. The first sprayer I purchased had a problem with the nosel as it would not allow me to adjust between stream and mist settings. I returned the unit and got a second one. The second one functioned properly.

Could I use the Ryobi chemical sprayer for home made pesticide? 1 teaspoon neem oil, 1 teaspoon liquid dish liquid and 1 litre water mixed together

Absolutely love my Ryobi chemical sprayer for spraying homemade weed killer on my driveway bricks. I've tried many manual sprayers and the Ryobi is worth the higher cost as my hands don't get tired, and I can spray longer. Just make sure you mix any solution well and let it sit to avoid too much foam when using dish soap, and wash the parts well after use. I even use salt in my weed solution, the trick is to mix well and make sure it's completely dissolved to avoid salt granules from plugging the spray tip.

Can I use this sprayer for acrylic concrete sealer like Durabond or Cipadeck products on stamped concrete?

I want to use this to spray weeds. I use a high strength vinegar at 25% acetic acid, normal store vinegar is 5%. Question is can this sprayer handle the stronger vinegar, or will it dissolve or corrode the unit?

It’s meant to handle chemicals. You just have to rinse it out with fresh water after your done so it doesn’t clog the brass tip. Wouldn’t recommend leaving the vinegar in it.  I use it to spray my car with soap when washing.
