First, it can be recessed or surface mounted with a surface adapter (optional). In addition, it can be mounted vertically or horizontally, directing the air flow upward or downward and to the right or to the left, respectively. Last, the slim-line Pulsair can be recessed into a wall thickness of 2 in. to 3inches. I mean single pole thermostats are pretty exciting just on their own, but this one is on a whole other level. This is like the ferarri of thermostats: sleeker, more elegant, higher performance. I have gotten over 20k instagram followers since featuring this thermostat on my feed, and the endorsements are rolling in. This thermostat changed my life and I can't imagine that just a normal, functional thermostat could possibly measure up in any way. Well, ok, maybe it would be exactly the same. After all if the knob turns and the heater turns on when it should, what else should a thermostat do? I hope this review has been helpful....

Does a Stelpro single pole built-in thermostat actually turn off or is it always running?

All thermostats will turn it off (stop heating) but on any single pole stat there will always be one line (120V) connected to the heater and a single pole stat will connect the other (for 240v combined). Single pole will never have a marked off switch, but a 2 pole will since it disconnects both lines.

No, this thermostat is not compatible with Brava baseboards. The correct product codes for the Brava integrated thermostats are as follows : SIBT1W single-pole mechanical white, SIBTE12C electronic. The RWFT1W thermostat in the link provided is NOT an SWT thermostat. This is an error on the Home Depot website.
