The only addition I would make to this package would be a template for the thimble mounting hole. It would also be of benefit if Home Depot could supply open stock vent pipes for more complex installs.

I looked at the box and it looked so simple I thought I should try to install it myself. I would suggest this kit to any of my friends and family. The only problem I have now is trying to get another one to hook up my second pellot stove.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Started out OK Purchased this 2 years ago. Product was OK but I found getting the locking tabs to engage with each section difficult but finally finished. Kit does not come with enough straight pipe as most pellet stoves require a 5 foot vertical rise for draft should the power fail. Home Depot does not carry individual pipe sections so those I needed to buy from another retailer. I still would have provided 3 or 4 stars at this point that is until I went to clean the vent this week before the heating season started. In cleaning I removed a straight section of vent and damaged the connecting gasket. This was my fault. I contacted the vendor who gave me the part number but could not sell me the part directly as I needed to go back to Home Depot as they would need to special order the gasket. Great no worries until I contacted Home Depot only to find they cannot special order the part. So, I need to go to another Retailer who can order this part for me. All for something I purchased at Home Depot. Let me put this in other words. Home Depot requires that I use another retailer who has an in-place after sale support process that I can use all becuase Home Depot has not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Kit at a super price When you consider what buying products 'one piece' at a time cost, this totally assembled kit does the trick. Even if you need to add a piece, the kit gives you the basic pieces you need for connection to the pellet stove, through the wall, top to prevent rain and snow, basic clearance heights, and all at a super price. The pieces go together and come apart for easy cleaning; treat them right and they last and last. All in all a great partner of your pellet stove.

Can this be used for regular wood burning stoves?  It's not clear if these are double walled pipes or not. I have a tiny Cubic Mini and need 3" or 4" piping for install. Thank you.

It is a double wall pipe. It can only be used for a stove that uses pellets. Not for a wood burning stove.
