Some of menus in the operating software could be a bit clearer but still not super difficult to setup with minimal tech knowledge.

I have moved into a residence with 4 Camara a d they seem to be wired however there is no DVR box ...how to replace?

Does this come with wiring? Does this require the internet?

Hi LC123. Yes, the box includes all the cables you'll need to get up and running. The camera cables are 60ft(18metres) each but if you need a longer distance we also sell longer lengths as accessory cables. You will need to connect the DVR box to the internet if you wish to view it remotely via the Swann Security smartphone app, or to update firmware. If you don't need to view it on your phone and are happy to just watch it locally via a monitor connected to the DVR, then it doesn't need internet access. -SD, Swann Team

can the cables be joined?

Thank you for your question Betuse. This kit includes one 18metre/60ft power/video cable for each camera however you can easily extend these if you require a longer distance. Swann sell extension cables in either 15m, 30m or 60m distances under the model codes SWPRO-15ULCBL-GL, SWPRO-30ULCBL-GL, SWPRO-60ULCBL-GL. Generally speaking, the less joins in a cable the better so you would be better to have 1x 60m cable rather than 3x 20m cables (for example). -SD, Swann Product Management
