Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working just after 1-yr warranty elapsed At almost exactly one year after purchase ... it stopped working. Coincidentally, it comes with a one year warranty. Not worth $600 for only several month's operation (only used it during the Summer months).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does a good job I have it for a couple of years now. I turn it on for 1 - 3 hours before going to bed. It cools the room nicely. I don't see myself being able to sleep with it being turned on the whole night. Too noisy for that. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

The window kit on the old one is the large 6inch circle, the new one is a long oval with a fitting that goes from long oval to big circle. Better hope you don’t have a window ledge because that baby won’t fit. I also tried it on the ledge and still no dice. Not to mention the spots where you’re supposed to screw it to the window are awful compared to the original. Though I’d have it hooked up tonight, guess i have to go buy a window kit tomorrow...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ac unit my first time using a portable ac unit but the setup was reasonably simple and it works well. yes, it's loud as everyone comments on, but i got used to it quickly. worth it to have relief from the heat when it becomes overwhelming! Stores away easily once the cooling season is over, ready to return to service next summer! Special note: the packaging and setup instructions deserve special mention for being smart and well thought out.

Stops working circa the 1-year mark ... no repair options. So, essentially, we paid steeply for 4-month’s of cool air. Don’t purchase. These things are filling-up landfills.

Little disappointed that there is no third piece to the window vent kit so I had to make my own. Other than that, utilizing a fan this unit cools very well and has made our summer so very comfy

Can I see the shape of window kit? My unit has no window but one sliding door(36inx84in) and 3 fixed doors with metal frame. According to this product, I may have to drill a hole for water discharging, right?

Is the chord really only 1.8 feet - or is that a typo? Does this unit work for a horizontal sliding window that is only 17 inches high?

The chord is 4.9 ft . Additionally, It will work in a horizontal sliding window 17 inches high, however the consumer will have to trim the window kit in order to fit their application.
